Is Spike Lee the biggest celebrity dumb-ass for posting the home address of a different George Zimmerman not related to the Treyvon Martin shooting on his Twitter page?

Simmering Frog 2012/03/29 03:21:32
Now, that's a serious dumb-ass.
Calling Spike Lee a dumb-ass is nothing but racist!

He should be arrested and charged with conspiracy to harm ... because that's exactly what he did! These (innocent) people were and still are, getting death threats at their home, to the point they are living in a hotel for their safety... what jackasses some of these damned Hollyweird types can be...

He's a dumbass for posting anyone's address! He's just another example of a celebrity who thinks he's far more important to the world than he really is, but that's only because our society treats them as though they are.

If Zimmerman gets killed all the people who are trying to get others to do the dirty work should be arrested.

He'd still be a dumb-ass if it had been the correct address. NOW, the authorities will handle Zimmerman. That was all any sane person anyway.

I guess if your a non-Liberal talking a Liberal or minority, stating truth opens you to being called a racist.
I think this stunt should professionally ruin him as a bankable moviemake.

There are white, black and all in between the two of the same. We all know a dumb as s when we see or hear of one. Some celebrities think they can say or do anthing to rally the masses and get away with doing it. He could have gotten an innocent man murder by ariot gang. Ye think he cares, he really doesn't? His movies are questionable, I believe he is a racist. His motives, it seems, were racial motivated. What did Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson said about it, I guess nothing! If it was John Travolta that had given the address of a black man, they would have messed a BRICK! Racist are all alike they do the samething in different colors. Shame on you Spike Lee, "Doing the Right Thing" my behind!

It doesn't matter where he got the address, it was criminal irresponsible of him to have retweeted therefore he should be charged (and by rights convinced) and Civilly sued.

Although it was WRONG to retweet it, it's not CRIMINAL to expose a person's address. That's public information.

"...it's not CRIMINAL to expose a person's address."
Maybe not usually but for the reasons Spike did, I would think so.

"That's public information." Really! If like me and you have an unlisted phone number, one would need to really go out of one's way to find it.

Would it come under violating people's civil rights or endanagerment or something? I would think there is some existing law violated.

Unapologetically I do hope the ill will from this stunt destroys his career as a bankable movie maker.

Yes, I consulted an attorney who said that he could be sued on breach of privacy, & if any harm had come to the couple or Zimmerman, then conspiracy to commit harm or murder.
  • MQ-Amer... Sofahead 2012/03/30 07:25:28
    MQ-American Values Again (AVA)
Exactly... considering the lunatic Black Panther Party leader put a bounty on his head.... Spike Lee tweeting Zimmermans address would make him an accessory to the crime if Zimmerman had been killed
  • JAA MsTlynne 2012/03/31 21:58:03 (edited)

There are privacy laws, as well as accessory to a crime statutes. Lee lucked out on this one, but I think the elderly couple still will sue him if he doesn't apologize directly to them & write a retraction on his Twitter account.

I sure hope so. I'm so sick & tired of this racial tension that is promoted & pushed by Blacks. MOST of Americans couldn't care less about the color of someone's skin, just as long as we're not being used as their scapegoat for everything. Us "White folk", as the POTUS is wants to call us, are a lot more color-blind than Blacks seem to think. It's primarily when we are constantly perceived as the villains when you hear us squawk.

I'm not denying that there isn't racism; however, I see just as much of it coming from Blacks, if not more. Most White folk I know actually bend over backwards to be nice to Blacks in order to not appear to even be perceived as being racist, & what do we get for our efforts? Mob violence, name-calling, & the likes of pot-stirrers like Jesse Jackson (I won't even use the word "reverend" & his name together), Al Racist Sharpton, etc.
  • MsTlynne JAA 2012/04/01 04:39:48

I have a different perspective. I live it every day and I observe more than I talk. I am in a position to hear what people say when they THINK they are only talking amongst themselves (people who are in agreement with them). Those lovers of Dixie long for "the good old days" when blacks stayed in their places. They despise the fact that blacks are their equals and really hate to be on subordinate working conditions. This is my personal experience in Alabama. I couldn't make up some of the mess I hear. I know it's not you but some peple have a long way to come toward coming to terms with the fact that white doesnt automatically = right anymore.

Blacks, & any other color, are only equal to Whites for the fact they were "created" equal. After that, gloves off & we all should rise or fall based on our own merits, NOT because it's given to us on a silver platter, retrieved from political expediency, or shoved down our collective throats.

There are Blacks, Whites, & Hispanics who are scary racists, but the majority of us are just going from day to day, doing our jobs, taking care of our families, & couldn't care LESS whose skin color is going to "win" in a tug 'o war for votes by politicians. My great-grandmother, who came here during the potato famine in Ireland actually was part of the Underground Railroad as she helped slaves, but do "I" get any credit for that? No, no, no, I get the race card pulled on me ANYTIME a White (or even partial White) person is involved in an altercation with a Black.

When MOST of the murders & crimes committed against Blacks is coming from their own community, it seems like Black leaders might just want to spend their time finding solutions & stop picking on or blaming the "White Cracker". I haven't hurt anyone in my life, & don't plan to do so. Blacks insist that America needs "an honest dialogue", but when we try to provide it, we're all of a sudden "racists".

Seriously, I am sorry if you are treated badly in your state. You might consider moving to another state. I know that's hard, but it's a suggestion, anyway.
