Flowers 2013/02/14 17:04:11Yes. Please comment+5I think it's strange that people assume they WOULDN'T be making money off of us. Who pays the salaries of tech support (just cuz they stink at their job doesn't mean they don't exist) or the servers? Or the data storage? or the domain costs? The internet isn't free people hints the ------------> creepy squid ad to the right. You voluntarily come to this site, what exactly did you think was the purpose??

My Computer is now well protected and each and every page I go to on SH my virus protection informs me that malicious URL has been blocked. Every page! Be smart, and have your Computer worked on and make sure that you have very good virus protection. Always update your virus protection each time before opening the internet so that you have the most up-to-date protection.
Just a thought.
I typically avoid questions by SH 'writers' because the content is usually so bad, with the occasional exception of Adrihead; because most of her posts don't seem nearly as slanted and incendiary.
I also dont answer posts from ABCNews, NewsMax, Lets Ask America, ESPN, or any of the other "partners" SH has taken on recently.
And I actually got HaHaJK.com (whom I assume is now a former 'partner') to block me, which totally negates their whole purpose of being here to do 'research.'
=D
Some internet "entities" just scream 'shady.'
1) Of course the owner is making money from the traffic on his site; that's the whole purpose.
2) >>>"SodaHead.com, the web’s leading organic market research engine..."<<<
Um, according to whom, exactly? Compared to FB & Twitter many people have never even heard of this site.
3) >>>"10 Million unique 'users"<<<
Note the terminology there. Users, not members.
This site only allegedly has about half a million members... and once you factor in all the fake and deactivated accounts, that's not an accurate tally either.
Most people seem to find this site by accident while doing image searches on google, but that doesnt necessarily mean that they all stay and become members; most do not.
Fef WISHES.
*lmao
I, personally, am not.
The email I use for this site is just one of many and its not under my legal name.
I provide no demographic info other than gender and country, and I avoid answering obvious marketing research questions.
The site uses me, and I use it back.
I 'trust' SH (or any info obtained from it) about as far as I could pick it up and throw it with a wet noodle.
