First of all, this is not a yes/no question.
Second, there are a few reasoning, thinking human beings in SH who make the rest of the crap put up by the radical fringes on both sides worth enduring.
Third, those of SH represent a tiny minority of the American public and is reflective of nothing more that what SH members think (or think they think)
This question didn't have clear answers.
It's both, because I mostly avoid talking about anything political, and I'm sure there are a lot of people who just don't bother getting into it with either side of the extemes. It ends up a bunch of name calling.
I have not encountered in real life such a plethora of uneducated, prejudicial and mean-spirited yahoos as the right wing people on SodaHead. Granted, I do not hang out at places like truckasaurus rallies (Talladega Nights) or Tea Party protests or country clubs where right wing and stupid people congregate. I mostly live around campus. Pretty much fool-free!
Because most of the "radicals" here are really just doing it to harass others. It's called Trolling people, wake up! You think they go around in real life threatening and insulting random people for no real reason? They'd be in jail!
If you have a profile on here, Then this site is exactly what you make it. If you are here just for the points, Then your opinion will not count. It's a small world, Don't you know?
Frankly, I would go for honest discussion, but the Left has taken to the trees and grown prehensile tails to keep themselves firmly attached. I use this as a "Pot shot" filler until the Left becomes reasonable again ...........which might take a while.
If by "reasonable", you mean "believing the same disinformation and Fox News talking points that you do", then, yes, you are indeed going to have a very, very long wait.
How do I know what question I am voting for? But a good question anyway.
I don't think it really reflects the mainstream. I wouldn't exactly say that it is a site for radicals- but I think that it is a place for people with passion who want to voice their opinion. If one ideaology represents anger- then angry people are most likely to take the time for arguing or blogging. Most normal people go about their business leading productive lives and let their opinion be heard in the voting booth. And they tend to be tolerant of the opinion of other people. I do know that popular opinion on Sodahead does not reflect the poll numbers in the nation.
