Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska, is also John McCain's choice running mate for Vice President. Palin has very strong opinions on such topics as abortion, and the hunting of animals. As a woman, Sarah Palin will make history for being the first female VP, if John McCain is elected as president in 2008. Do you think that Sarah Palin is the messiah, the zealous leader and savior, that John McCain needs?

A fresh new face that the Republican Party should identify with. She is more like the average American in that she is educated and lives a normal life as most of us do. She is a breath of fresh air and will help to sustain our American Way of life and help to prevent the socialist trend that the Democrat's (liberals) are leading us into.

    Great Scot
a highly intelligent woman and competent in her own right who has been, and continues to be, maligned by the media and left wing politicians in retaliation for the swift boat tactics used against John Kerry. The most telling aspect of how threatened the left feels by her is the ongoing treatment of her in the press. If it is really true that she is just an ignorant boob, why does the media feel the need to continually villify her. The most effective way to marginalize someone is just to ignore them. But the media is too scared of her to ignore her. I think that pretty much tells the whole story about Sarah Palin.

Mr. McCain has made a big mistake by picking her as his running mate, I am sure he has learned a priceless lesson & is regretting now & will be for the rest of his life since it was his last chance to run for the White House, but too bad, he ruined it, especially hurt his party. He would win the election & be a president of United States if he picked Mr. Romney as VP.

definitely a major reason why McCain will/has lost the election. He had my vote until he picked her as his VP, at first I thought a breath of fresh air until I learned more about her..........TOTALLY unqualified

I am an independent and I liked McCain a lot. He was my first choice a few months ago. After Palin became the VP candidate, and watching her answering questions on TV interviews and debate, i could not help to question MaCain's ability to pick the "right" team members to help him to be successful. So, I voted Obama instead.

I think Sarah Palin is completely incapable to be Vice President, or God forbid, President. She has no base of knowledge and no humility about it. It seems she would choose to remain ignorant.

Look at Obama's extra ordinary experience. Oh yeah he doesn't have any. This baffoon couldn't run a hot dog stand and couldn't spell cat if you spotted him a C. Sarah Palin was ill defined by a media run by liberals that were and still are scared to death of her because of her intellegence not ignorance. I voted for McCain but mainly because of Sarah Palin. She has more cahonies than Joe Bite me Barney Fag, Bumster the dumpster. They have never done anything in the private sector. They have lived beyond their means at the expense of the tax payer. F them all, say bye bye to the fools.

absolutely negative and inadequate for the position of VP, let alone the possibility of becoming our President. I can honestly say I will be embarrassed for America if Obama does not win this election. Hopefully this election will create needed changes in our electoral system, and I see that happening only if Obama wins.

I think she's hot, she's got some nice tits and a nice ass from what I saw. Nice lips... I bet she could suck a golf ball through a garden hose or the chrome off a trailer hitch. But, as far as being the vice president? And possibly president? (as Mccain is old and sickly) She's a down to earth next door neighbor type person... and god help us if thats what we look for in the second highest office in the country. I sure as hell know my neighbor couldn't run the country.

Not at all she has hurt the republican party. Poor choice to bring over voters who were Hillary supporters. She is not prepared and needs a few history lessons this is way over her head and sche scares me. John McCain did not have good advisors on this one at all.

She's a Gov. for pete's sake - she was chosen by the winning GOP party nomination- she's smart - very smart - do I agree with her always - no, but I can not call her stupid. Holy cow - do you dis your customers when they ask you - "could me get fries wit dat?" do they need to go back to school? She's not your choice, which is cool, but to think she's where she's at as an idiot - come on!

I don't like the word messiah - she was lambasted, disected and abused by the media and stuffy people of her own party. She's fresh, not spoiled by the political world yet, a reformer and much smarter than people give her credit.

I think she was a good choice for mccain at first...well, that was until she opened her mouth for the 20/20 interviews. wow, what a bad choice mccain. she just isn't at all qualified to be president if mccain kicks the bucket, and she is totally out of the reality of true politics....she may be a mom but that does not mean she has americas best interests at heart....i'm a mom too but i would not think i am at all qualified for the vp or president...sheesh...she just isn't qualified period! my husband overheard a bunch of construction guys talking about how she understands foreign policy because alaska is so close to russia...and how if obama wins we will all be wearing turbins...and how we know she would be a good choice because she knows how to gut an elk....what the hell does that have to do with politics at all...i would rather have my vp or president educated and articulate...not know how to gut an elk!!! well all i can say is that is north idaho for you, always looking for the best reason to vote someone into office.

one of the main reasons that McCain can't win. Her extreme right attitude, her negative speeches, her unpreparedness, her performance in interviews, are all the worst thing to happen to McCain. McCain may have picked her to get votes from women - but picking her was an insult to educated women around the country. She's not even close to being the right person to serve as a VP. And McCain may have been a maverick a few years ago - -but he's turned into another George Bush. Too bad.

She is everything I hate in a woman!
She pretends to be a chrisitian of high morals, but she lies and cheats like everybody else! I do not want anyone in government with her "values".
Shooting animals from a helicopter for sport , causing them unnecessary pain and anguish just for pleasure is not my idea of someone with morals or values worth beans!
She is not smart, and she does not have the brains for a higher office, even though she is admirably unaware of her own shortcomings because she is blinded by ambition and the desire for power. Keep her in alaska where she belongs!

causing unnecessary pain and anguish????? your typing causes that for the human animal. Please tell me you did not vote today - you casting a vote and having a say in how our country moves forward is akin to shooting an animal, but missing the head or heart and just injuring it - leaving it to wander the earth in pain. What is the keep her in Alaska bit?/ Is Alaska not part of your nation? I'm having fun with you, but a serious ? - What qualifies you to judge her intelligence or qualifications - can you run a country of 150 million?

I think she completely energized the Republican party during the convention but made a huge mistake with the Katie Couric interviews - Sarah is great and I am still hoping she and McCain pull off the win tonight! Her book was a great quick read. She is such an "average" American in her upbringing and lifestyle prior to politics yet she wanted to make a difference and is not a bit "average" in that she HAS actually made such a huge difference in Alaska and now hopefully our whole country will be blessed by her service as VP!!!

Sarah is unnaturally ambitious, calculating, somewhat smart, somewhat charismatic, and physically attractive ( as Obama is attractive ) ---- she is not, however, intellectually capable to play on a national and world stage ---- nor is she meaningful to the general population --- she is meaningful only to a subset of the republican Party that believes there is little distance between "church and state" ..... and that is very dangerous. steve
