Personally he is Pro-Life. However, he is for states choosing their laws, and people choosing their states. He is not for coercion, but for persuasion.

I was under the impression that he believed women should have a choice.

at a baby doctor, it's obvious he's pro choice, however this issue is sooooooooo far down the list of importance on cruical problems with this country and how our 2 party system has screwed us every way to sunday

I believe he is pro life. He is a baby doctor which might explain his opposition to abortion,

depends on what you're talking about. He's pro-life *AND* pro-choice on most issues.

on abortion he's pro-life, but not to the point of proposing insane violations of privacy and constitutional amendments and such like most pro-lifers. He just thinks that abortion is violence and has a purely scientific argument with which to back up that position. He believes violence should be handled by state laws and state courts.

C'mon, Assassin, you know the answer. Or you should. He has said all along that he abominates abortion. He also says that it's a State matter, for this reason: the federal government is not supposed to have police power, except only in the District of Columbia and various "government reservations" (which are supposed to be limited to military bases and federal buildings.)

Ron wants small government. He wants everyone to be left alone.

    Therefore he's Pro-Choice by default.

But isn't that typical of republicans? They say they are for small government but when it comes to actions, they are in reality for big government. Just look at GW who was suppose to be for small government but he increased spending a lot. Republicans are basically hypocrites and this even includes Ron Paul but at lease he is correct on a couple of issues. He would cut out American expansionism and end the war on drugs. Everything else is basically pure republican philosophy.

They're ONLY interested in small government for Corporations. They want to Legislate the rest of us to death and control every aspect of our lives. Fascism at its finest.

And they want unlimited freedom to pollute our air, our seas, our land. Just disgusting. I wish we could ship them all off to Oceania.

He's pro-liberty. Being pro-liberty includes being pro-choice. Being pro-liberty requires one to accept that people will use their liberty in ways we may not agree with personally, but it is their own choice to do so. That type of *choice extends much further than the abortion debate.

He has said that as a physician he believes abortion is wrong. But his position is that the question of legality should be left to the states and their people. I agree with that. Bad law is much easier to attack at the state level. Likewise, good law is much easier to push through at the state level.
