Can't say for certain. He might have been liberal Friday, but then he did a sharp pander to the right Saturday morning. Willard likes to keep us on our toes.
I wonder how he feels about his evaluation of the UK's ability to put on a good Olympics. Every time I saw Boris Johnson at the closing ceremony, I wondered if he wanted to rub Romney's nose in it. Take that, Willard.
I too proudly proclaim myself as liberal and progressive in Seattle...not so much in Texas. Funny thing one of my Texas work associates found out in Vancouver BC on a work trip is that expressing traditional conservative views in that city was right up there with declaring yourself a Nazi. He blabbed on about gay perversion, killing unborn babies and Kenyan birther conspiracies for about 20 minutes and looked around to find about 25 jaws laying on the floor of the bar we were in.
I found at least a modicum of moderation there - though it was on the heels of a week in Lubbock so Charlton Heston might have seemed a pinko had I encountered him after those 7 days of dust mouthed philistines.
Because of the mess he inherited. Had it not been for ARRA, we would be in a depression now. The R's had depleted the piggy bank with the tax cuts for the rich, the two wars of choice and the prescription boondoggle for Big Pharma, all of them unpaid for.
Obama had no choice but to borrow the money needed to avoid economic disaster. Econ 101 will tell you that economic recovery always takes precedence over concerns about the deficit and the debt. It will also tell you that when consumer and business spending stop, the government must step in with its own spending to stimulate the economy and avoid total collapse. Enter ARRA.
First you must get out of the ditch before you can drive on the highway. We are about halfway out of the ditch.
Then we need to balance revenues with spending cuts needed to get back to fiscal sanity. The Pentagon must be included in the cuts. The expiration of Bush's tax cuts will help a lot.
Much as America may need hope and change, I simply cannot trust the ultra-liberal team of Romney/Ryan to protect free markets, cut taxes and social spending, and to uphold religious liberties and the rights of the unborn...
Only the tried-and-tested conservative Barack Obama has consistently fought for these values, and that's why America needs to send him back to Washington for another four years; to stand guard against the GOP's clandestine, incremental erosion thereof.

Obama would increase revenues, which would lessen the deficit and the debt. He has actually decreased the size of the government from the Bush years.
Don't believe the talking points on RW blogs.
