Jobs will be created where the least problems are presented to the job creators.
If unions are so great, why has most of Boeing's jobs left the Seattle area?
If unions are so great, why does Detroit look like a ghost town?
Is Right-to-Work: Protecting workers or UNION-Busting??!!

There are 22 states that have adopted Right to work legislation. Is it about giving workers the liberty and freedom to work without being forced into an undesired association or union? Is it a blatant attack against the middle class and worker's rights as some claim? Is it just a political strategy to defund the other side or is it simply a matter of giving people more choices?
Are Right-to-work promoters trying to bust up the unions, destroy the middle class and hurt workers? Should workers really be forced to join a union in some places just to be able to WORK?
Like it or not, right-to-work is catching on and gaining more and more national attention. Let me know what you think.

unions, once upon a time, had a purpose and a place in this country, but that was long ago. there are many laws on the books now that unions helped place there, that much is true. But unions for the most part have become too political for their own good and for everyone else as well. and unions have abused their power, and continue to do so due to their political strength. davis/bacon is one such example.
B I N G O !!!
of course union states will have higher wages for workers who are unionized. anytime a business is forced to pay union wages and not shop for competitive pricing the rate will be higher.
That's the whole reason for unions is to forge an agreement for better wages, and benefits. That is why union states have better wages then the RTWFL states. But you use the word forced, that is just right wing talking points, so please lets have an intelligent debate here and not parrot right wing propaganda. No one has a gun to the head of corporate managment to get better wages. It comes down to comprimises, on both sides.
and there are numerous instances in which a worker who does not want to belong to a union is forced to pay union dues. yes, forced. in wisconsin, walker removed the requirement for workers to have union dues automatically taken from their paychecks and you know what happened?? some unions have lost over 40% of their "members". obviously they did not want to belong to a union and only paid the dues because the law said they had to. now that the law says they don't have to, they have opted out of the unions.
Dues paying members only work 1300 hours a year???? I know of no union members that work less then they are suppose to. I think you are gulping down right wing propaganda!!!!!!!!!
just because the USSR collapsed, doesnt mean communism magically died, in your fairy tale world.
your first sentence admitted to communism.
having a too large of a public work force isnt a good thing.
I think you need to expand your thoughts more, instead of making baseless accusations about "a 23 year old not having GREY MATTER.
Unions hurt the economy by not ever wanting to take a pay cut or give up benefits. There are some good reasons to have unions, but unions have hurt the economy tremendously. They are still able to be paid the same amount no matter how much work is finished. It is hard to have any negotiations to save jobs for other non union workers also.
You speak of unions as a tangible entity as if it is a single entity charged with destroying business. Nothing could be further from the truth. To begin with the Union is a union of employees, that is to say, the voice of the employees engaged in a common, or similar work related endeavor. When a company has a union represented workforce it was by vote of the employees to to have union representation, usually because of excessive abuses or unsafe work conditions that the company failed to address for extended periods of time if at all. No court in this country would allow a union to lock up a company and allow a strike without establishing a ligitimate basis for that action. This by the way, is always conducted in a legal venue. Substitute unions for workers in your comment, and think of yourself as a worker, if i understand your comments correctly. They do not want to prevent excessive profits, they would like to participate and be compensated in some way for creating those profits and success. Unions (workers) need their jobs and pay and usually can't afford to strike and the more successful the company is the more secure and bet...

Unions (workers) need their jobs and pay and usually can't afford to strike and the more successful the company is the more secure and better they do financially. Keep in mind most of these positions are careers for people that have chosen the path they they are on for whatever their reason may be. The Robber Barons are alive and well which is evidenced by our current economic debarcle. For the past 15 years the union members (workers), have been taking cuts and making consession for years, including unpaid hoilidays, and vacation time, flex time etc., on the promise that they would be treated better in the next contract and everyone has to make sacrifices. What is happening is they now want to cut pay, hours and at the same time cut benefits this, while profits and bonuses are through the roof at the top. You don't hear the companies the profits achieved by tax breaks alone essentially with tax rate averaging 12% after deductions. Unions (workers),don't hurt the economy the corporations do. Workers create the economy by spending, consumption and investing, where do you think the money comes from?. It should be apparent if you research what failed and why, bringing this nation to its knees. This nation isn't here to support the corporations interests above the citizens is the peoples nation and we're loosing it. Regards hope i could shed some light so that you might consider my perspective.
I know unions are killing production and hurting production quality, and guaranteeing unions work is cutting the amount of time they can choose to work.
Ive been in one when I was 18 :)
you're always funny
