Sure the economy was down when Obama took office but if Obama's economic failures are all Bush's fault then why did Obama come into office promising low unemployment and to cut the deficit in half in his first four years? Was Obama blowing smoke out his azz then or blowing smoke now or both? Did it really take the geniuses 3 1/2 years just to figure out they didn't know what they were doing, so somehow, it must be all Bush's fault?
And other than Obaby, what President of the United States of America has ever gone so far out of their way to pass the buck and blame a prior administration...NONE!
And if "The private sector if doing just fine" why is this putzident blaming Bush at all and not taking credit for it?
Is President Bush really to blame ?

Did President Bush take individuals from private sector jobs and put them to work for the government? Yes specifically approximately 1% of the US workforce, National Guard and military reserve members, were called up for active duty. The last time I checked active duty is a government job.
Did President Bush increase US demand for goods and services after reducing the private sector workforce by 1%? Yes ... specifically the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq increased demand for military hardware and supplies, the tax cuts increased domestic demand by putting more money in consumers' pockets.
Did these policies increase the US deficit? Yes....when President Bush took office the federal government had a budget surplus which became a deficit within four years.
Did President Bush increase the size of federal government? Yes ... under President Bush, federal spending increased by 64% while under Clinton federal spending increased by < 30%.
Although these things happened during the Bush administration, they were not his fault because as commander in chief, he was not responsible for the federal government. He was clearly not qualified and therefore cannot be held personally responsible for these disastrous results.
The U.S. problem goes far beyond which party or president to blame, though all are accountable still. We're dealing with corporatism. Our politicians are bought and lobbyists write huge portions of bills.
More importantly, we’re dealing with financialization that worships leverage and division that herds us toward uber polarized debates and camps (commies vs. God-fearing, Conservatives vs. liberals, black vs. white, capitalists vs. socialists, this monotheism vs. that monotheism...). Meanwhile, everything gets too entirely based on the (often overly and oddly subsidized) business model, even our public schools. Financialization is all about putting placing leverage above all else -- "winning" become everything even if everyone loses.
First, it's a cultural problem with some political elements (budget cuts just before and even more during Reagan's time in office) and begins in the arts, agriculture, and other sectors and eventually translates into economic failures in complex, convoluted ways. It then spreads in and out of our two major parties and through different presidencies and becomes a runaway political and economic engine. It's not some sudden phenomenon that only began with some market bubbles bursting, such as the dot com thing. It’s been oncoming since th...

Loosing touch started with us and the top 1 percent learned to capitalized on it, reinforce it, make it part of the predictive blueprint.
It began as a cultural problem so a cultural movement will pull us out of it. Occupy is only a part of that. GOOH is part of that. But there’s more -- explore slow movements in this context.
