Yes. Review his speeches and you will find he uses "I" more than any other president, especially when describing his actions within any successful operation. If the operation fails it is always someone else s fault or that of George Bush.

Yes, Obama puts the "I" in team. The guy is so arrogantly egotistical that it boggles the mind that he can tolerate himself.

Reading his speaches or listening to him would make many people thing there were only two pronouns, "I" and "me".

Personally, I don't trust confident people because all of us are running around with limited knowledge and the intelligent people realize their own limitations.

There are plenty of confident people who are also very intelligent -_-
Show me a credible study correlating confidence with anything having to do with intellect.

Well in my opinion he was pretty smart, and also quite confident from that quote.

Well actually there was a book about hubris and the liklihood that people who have a great deal of confidence very often do extremely dumb things. The same traits that lead to self assurance and self confidence lead to a belief that they know more than anyone else and that they can fix any problems that arise. Elliott Spritzer, Bill Clinton, Anthony Weiner, John Edwards all are extremely self confident and did not imagine that their stupidity with women would cause problems. The recent events at JP Morgan were done by the best and the brightest, who lost $2 billion. Halberstam wrote a book titled the Best and the Brightest about how all these extremely smart people in the Kennedy administration could sit around and plan the Bay of Pigs invasion and not wonder, gee, what if something goes wrong. There have been cases in science as well, in which respected authorities were totally wrong but could not accept the evidence against them.

Hubris goes hand in hand with self confidence.

Doing dumb things doesn't always make someone unintelligent, again, I do not see an overwhelming corroboration.

For something to be overwhelming I'm would need research studies and stats referencing confidence and IQ/intellect. Still, the point is, not everyone who is confident is dumb and not everyone who is dumb is confident.

Well, you are missing the whole point. Clearly those people are highly intelligent and are very confident yet have a fatal flaw that drives them to a point at which they think that they know more than they really know and disregard advice of people who are experts in a particular area. Not all intelligent people have that fatal flaw. Einstein did not have that fatal flaw.
