At least he is trying, but the treasonous right wing is sabotaging everything he tries, to make the economy better. Even with their sabotage, the economy is chugging along better then previously. 28 months of straight job increases is better than the millions of job losses in 2008 and 2009.

If the right wingers in congress would allow the jobs bill, and also the transportation bill to pass it would create hundreds of thousands of jobs. The money is there for these bills, but they are being held up in the house for political reasons. We all remember McConnell, the minority leader in the senate, said the number one goal of the Republican party is to make Obama a one term president. That pretty much sums it up for the right wing, who doesn't give a crap about this country. They are beholden to the billionaire Plutocrats!!!!!!!!!!

it's very sad,you are even asking such non meaningful question after all that has been written about Obamas' Presidency and the Obstructionist RWNJ Anti-American Party.the deliberate treasonous sabotage of any constructive policy by the President by the RWNJ Congresspeople placing Power and Greed over the Welfare of America and Americans is beyond belief.and deserving of a firing squad.you should be outraged.and should be demanding explainations and hearings before the House Committee On UnAmerican Activities.why arn't you requesting the RWNJ Romney Agenda if elected?Because They Don't Have One?

Not in the least! He is putting the brakes on to our economy when he should be fueling the economy with cash in the form of lower taxation for everybody and cutting back on regulations to business when he is adding to the regulatory burden.

Is there anyone out there who agrees that a government that cannot be honest about there own accounting practices has no business dictating to corporations how they must perform theirs?!

YES, hes helping the economy TANK! He is a complete failure who never deserved the position in the first place.
I, and those like me who did our homework BEFORE voting in 2008 knew EXACTLY where his lack of experience and voting record would lead the country.

If he could he would be.. and the ones he has gotten through have helped. But it takes congress to pass the bills, not the POTUS, he can only sign them. So if they continue to flat out refuse to do anything positive for the people in this country instead of just helping the wealthiest and biggest corporations.. then not a damn thing will ever be able to improve.

The Obama policies that the GOP have deigned to pass have helped but it's not enough. I think Obama has the right idea but he's stuck with a do-nothing Congress. I think if he had a cooperative Congress, things would be much farther along than they are now.

So explain the first two years when he had both houses of congress? The democrats haven't passed a budget since Obama was elected. They are bankrupting the country and the electorate has wised up to it. The special election of Scott Brown, (in hte seat previously held by Ted Kennedy no less), the 2010 congressional elections, and more recently Wisconsin, is a sign that the pendulum has swung and will hit Obama full force in November.

You never admitted that Wisconsin is in better shape than your home state of Oregon, even after I gave you the statistics right from Obama's Department of Labor. I got a kick out of your two word sentence: "Right There". Normally to qualify as a sentence the utterance has to express a complete thought.

    BTW: Are you stalking me?
  • Dana exhon2009 2012/06/12 14:47:13
    Dana
Stalking your nasty ass? hardly. You just happen to be on the same threads I am on. If you can not handle that... then scoot. As for your link you posted, it came up as a dead link, page un found. But you do realize that the unemployment rate as nearly continually DROPPED since Obama took office and got things moving forward. Only last month was there a slight increase and it was miniscule. But I imagine if the GOP is able to continue their BS more people will lose their jobs... that is what you want, right? Same w/ gas prices.. the GOP wants them high, this is GOOD for the party! Well what about the people? When will the GOP care about the people they are SUPPOSED to be representing?

And since all you do it try and skirt around the facts... how about explaining why it is perfectly ok with you and the GOP to flat out refuse to cooperate with the president for the country to be able to move forward? Can you explain that?
  • exhon2009 Dana 2012/06/12 17:35:43

What does "And since all you do it try and skirt around the facts..." even mean? It is incomprehensible? You must have had a liberal education considering you begin your sentences with the word "and". I was conversing with another person when you butted in with your usual drivel. You might want to get coaching on how to google. If you simply input something like "unemployment by state" it will bring up relatively current data for all 50 states.

Unemployment dropped since Obama took office? Once again you couldn't be more wrong. It was 7.8% when he took office. In spite of his promise that it would not go above 8% if his stimulus was enacted, which it was, unemployment went as high as 10% before dropping to today's level of 8.2%. Those are the governments facts Dana, not mine.

A major reason for the drop from 10% is people giving up looking for work. The US population over aged 16 has risen by nearly 6 million and the overall labor force is 350,000 smaller than when Obama took office. Your accuracy would improve immensely if you started using facts rather than just pulling it out of your ass like you have been doing.

Since you can not debate the facts, you turn to this. Hey, I know, it is called "pivoting". It is what politicians do when they simply have no answer or can not win the debate.

So there you have it. And if you had enough brain cells that actually functioned, you would know that an IQ of 50 would not even be able to log on to the computer.

Why don't you run along and try and bully some small children? Maybe you would stand a better chance of making less of a fool of yourself? Maybe not.

Obama spent the first two years developing and trying to pass the Healthcare Bill. Whether you agree with it or not, this was one of the primary issues of his candidacy and he went right to work on it and got it passed. In hindsight, perhaps that wasn't the best thing to do because he lost the House in the 2010 elections but who could have predicted that.
The country was already bankrupt when Obama took office because of the two unnecessary wars started by G.W. and his tax cuts for millionaires and corporations.
Obama's administration has seen the smallest growth in spending in at least the last 4 administrations.
The jobless rate was already up to around 7.8% when Bush left office. And it continued to rise under Obama because he has gotten absolutely no cooperation from Congress. They have stonewalled him at every turn not caring that they are doing so at the expense of the American people.
Shortly after Obama's election, Mitch McConnell stated that the the Republican's ONE GOAL is to make sure that Obama is a one term President. And that's exactly what they've tried to do by burying everything he has proposed including the comprehensive jobs bill.
Open your eyes and your mind. Obama is not your enemy. The GOP/Tea Party is.

Re Who could have predicted that?

I did. If you spend two years working on legislation that doesn't help jobs while the economy is going to hell one would think anyone could have. When the SCOTUS comes back with an UNCONSTITUTIONAL ruling on Obamacare the whole two years when the Dems could have been working feverishly to turn the economy around and thus ensure a decade of democratic party control will have been pissed away with nothing to show for it but a still bad economy.

McConnell merely believes Obama is trying to turn the country into a European style socialist democracy and has been hard at work trying to stop that. Obama has been working equally hard to prove MConnell was right about his suspicions. In the end Obama will have stopped himself by exposing himself as the extreme leftist McConnell says he is and not the centrist he claimed to be.
