He has shown no limit beyond which he would take the government, if Congress and the courts would let him. He has surrounded himself with those who look for a future of Five Year Plans, input-output analysis, and all news coming from a new Department of Information. (And I do not mean "information technology.")

Someone else on this question just said it was the socialist party, reported by the same paper and quality of journalism that has been thrown out of courts for their birther nonsense. Wasn't Obama also a boyscout? As I understand it, that is the oath he takes most serious...lol... forget your communist party bullsht. What about the Bush family and their ties to the Nazi party and Hitler? bla...bla...bla...bla.bla.bla bla...blaa..bla bla I guess the country survived the Bush family (barely), not so worried Obama is reincarnate of Hitler himself (I think I heard something about that also)

WND previously reported on newspaper evidence showing Obama was listed as a member of the New Party in the group’s own literature.
WND also conducted an exclusive with Marxist activist Carl Davidson, a founder of the New Party, who recounted Obama’s participation.
In 2010, John Nichols, Washington correspondent for The Nation magazine, recalled speaking with Obama at New Party events in the 1990s.
Aaron Klein’s “Red Army: The Radical Network That Must Be Defeated to Save America” exposes Obama’s presidential agenda
“When we spoke together at New Party events in those days, he was blunt about his desire to move the Democratic Party off the cautious center where Bill Clinton had wedged it,” wrote Nichols in a January 2009 piece published at Progressive.org.
Now, researcher and author Stanley Kurtz, writing at National Review Online today, reports on documentation from the updated records of Illinois ACORN at the Wisconsin Historical Society that “definitively establishes” that Obama was a member of the New Party.

Now, researcher and author Stanley Kurtz, writing at National Review Online today, reports on documentation from the updated records of Illinois ACORN at the Wisconsin Historical Society that “definitively establishes” that Obama was a member of the New Party.
Kurtz reported Obama also signed a “contract” promising to publicly support and associate himself with the New Party while in office.
In 2008, Obama’s Fight the Smears campaign website quoted Carol Harwell, who managed Obama’s 1996 campaign for the Illinois Senate, as stating: “Barack did not solicit or seek the New Party endorsement for state senator in 1995.”
Fight the Smears conceded the New Party did support Obama in 1996 but denied that Obama had ever joined.
According to documents from the Democratic Socialists of America, the New Party worked with ACORN to promote its candidates. ACORN, convicted in massive, nationwide voter fraud cases, was a point of controversy for Obama during his 2008 campaign for president.
Becoming a New Party member requires some effort on behalf of the politician. Candidates must be approved by the party’s political committee and, once approved, must sign a contract mandating they will have a “visible and active relationship” with the party.
If Obama indeed signed the contract, not only would his campaign be caught in a lie but it could prove highly embarrassing for him at a time when he is fighting claims, including from Mitt Romney’s camp, that his policies are socialist.
Also, Obama’s 2012 campaign slogan of “Forward” has been criticized for its use of a historic socialist slogan.
    Socialist goals
The socialist-oriented goals of the New Party were enumerated on its old website.
Among the New Party’s stated objectives were “full employment, a shorter work week and a guaranteed minimum income for all adults; a universal ‘social wage’ to include such basic benefits as health care, child care, vacation time and lifelong access to education and training; a systematic phase-in of comparable worth; and like programs to ensure gender equity.”

Nothing like repeating the same non-sense twice.
WND isn't any journalism worthy of consideration, their bias goes out of the way to the conservative and comes close to slander. U.S. District Judge Rosemary M. Collyer dismissed a recent law suit of WND about their birther bullsht and is quoted: “Having become such well-known proponents of one position on the issue, Plaintiffs cannot complain that the very intensity of their advocacy also became part of the public debate,” Hardly anything a district judge would say about a reputable piece of journalism.

Then what? Even if Obama has some socialist ideas, even as President of the US, one man isn't going to be the downfall of our country to communism as suggested by some. Every countries political ideals are a combination of different political doctrine..

What do you think Romney is? Certainly not the true conservative some republicans want to pawn him off as. What happens when Romney uses his knowledge of leveraged buyouts and sells out our Nation right under our noses?

What if we vote for Ron Paul? Oh my God, his experience with international affairs along with his ideas will start WWIII, then what? RP better choose a good VP everyone likes in case he dies of old age.

So what if Obama gets reelected? As incumbent, at least we have a good idea what we can expect, Hopefully Congress gets adjusted this coming election.

    Socialism:
Everyone is equal and does equal work for equal shares of everything, equally.

... This is a bad thing?

This is not Obama, at all. People are claiming he is a socialist for the simple reason that they've been told he's a socialist. All presidents use social programs. Roadways, postoffices, medicare, social security, these and many programs like them are SOCIAL programs. If we didn't have socialism in this country, all of you who are faulting socialism would be whining about us being worse off than most of the other countries.

The only reason we fault socialism in this country is because we were taught it was a bad thing while we were fighting communists. Communism was declared a form of socialism and a lot of democratic programs were called socialism so that the republicans would look like the better choice during war time. Socialism contains no classes at all, Communism advocates classes so separate they are at war with each other.

Socialism is not an evil entity that is to be banished at every turn, it is a goal that no one has ever achieved and will never achieve. It declares all people to be equal, gives everyone an equal opportunity, and grants everyone an equal life. It may be boring, but it certainly is not evil.

Heaven is a socialist nation. Think about that for a while.

I repeat, every president has made socialist programs. It's hard to avoid them when you are trying to run a country that says everyone is equal. does this make him a socialist? No. He just agrees with some socialist views. We all do.

And, as I also said, so what if he is a socialist? Why is that a bad thing? Socialism is equality for all. No more, no less. Equality is a good thing.

Now, researcher and author Stanley Kurtz, writing at National Review Online today, reports on documentation from the updated records of Illinois ACORN at the Wisconsin Historical Society that “definitively establishes” that Obama was a member of the New Party.

    so·cial·ism   /ˈsoʊʃəˌlɪzəm/ Show Spelled[soh-shuh-liz-uhm] Show IPA
    noun
    1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
    [END QUOTE http://dictionary.reference.c... ]

Collective ownership is the basis of socialism. If a person does not advocate collective ownership of the means of production and distribution, the person does not truly advocate socialism.
