Is Obama a sadistic animal by blackmailing the disabled and elderly and threatening to withhold their checks?

It seems that Barack Hussein Obama has reached a new low by playing to the fears of the elderly and disabled. When questioned today, Obama said he cannot guarantee that retirees will receive their Social Security checks August 3rd if Democrats and Republicans in Washington do not reach an agreement on reducing the deficit in the coming weeks.

Oh really. Well, let’s do the math: The federal government receives somewhere between 160-170 Billion dollars in revenue each month. Paying interest on the debt runs 20-25 billion per month, so contrary to what the Presidential liar says,
America will not default. As to Social Security and Disability, that runs around 20 billion, leaving an unspent balance of over 120 billion dollars per month.

Monetary disbursements are the responsibility of the President. It will be Obama who decides where this money goes if the debt limit isn’t raised. Assuredly, he won’t stop welfare benefits. These are his voters. Certainly his blessed federal employees will get their bloated salaries and pensions. They also vote for him.

So what do you think of the White House occupant frightening the elderly and disabled? To me, this makes him little more than a piece of sadistic excrement, but then again, some might feel I’m being too kindly.

there have been over 300 terrorist attacks on USAS soil since 9/11 and over two hundred of them have been on Obombems administration... all those who were shot at Fort Hood and Obombem said not to jump to conclusions... and he apolagetically and immediately stated that Osama got a respectable Moslem burial at sea and never did say one word about the victims of 9/11,... and he cowered when he said this... at least Bush made the world think he was a mad man... No, the republicans are the sadist. Give of your butts and come up with a solution instead of whining about not increasing your taxes and giving up your loopholes. You have a right to pay taxes like everyone else. Pay your dues so those poor elderly and disabled can get there checks. Reality check: WE"RE OUT OF MONEY! Pay up!

If the Social Security Checks or Military pay is stopped it will be because Obama ordered it stopped; there is more than enough monthly income to pay those things even if the debt ceiling is not raised. This is Progressive Liberal theater.
The Republicans simply want a reduction in the crazy spending of the Obama administration, why is that a bad thing?

Then Obama gets what he wants, Obama has no plan and does not want to cut any spending nor do the Progressives want to fix the problems with entitlements. Since You seem to agree with the Democrats, tell me what's their plan?

My plan would be to pull all US troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq. Next cut the 2 aircraft carrier groups that are just starting. I would institute a new WPA to build and repair roads. I would build railroads along the major corridors. These railroads would all be electric. Most of our nuclear power plants are at least 20 years old. I'd fund replacing them. I'd increase the minimum tariff to 15%.

    I'd double spending on space.

In other words I'd follow the same spending programs used by Reagan and FDR to get the economy going and increase revenues.

Not to bad.... I wouldn't cut the new carrier groups and I'd be careful with tariff's maybe basing them on certain country's reciprocal agreements.... road repair is good but should be left to the states not the Federal Government.... The infrastructure for electric cares is a question since the technology for the cars is not there yet, that's a sticky issue; however, in the mean time I would exploit every natural resource we have to buy us the time to make the transition in an orderly way... drill our oil. Remember, electric doesn't come from air... we will still need the means to produce all that electric we will need, how do we do that? FDR's plans were very socialist and I would stay away from them, they have caused many of our problems, i.e. social security. Then we need a flat tax for everyone, maybe purchase oriented... not sure.

I was really not talking about electric cars. I would put in trains. For instance a train between Victorville and Las Vegas. That would be about 180 miles of track. Probably run 2 or 3 times a day during the week and hourly on weekends. That would help the economy of both. Eventually it could be extended to DisneyLand and LAX. Now you have a tourist train that will likely make a profit for the government and greatly reduce oil consumption.

Victorville to Las Vegas.... ya, we really need that.... not! If you are going to drive to Victorville, may as well go to Las Vegas... if Vegas is still there and You can afford the gas. We don't need tourist trains.

The US has 11 carrier groups. There are 3 more in the making. I'd keep the one that was 1/2 done. Our next nearest competitor is France with 3.

The point is often made the no US carrier has been sunk since the Yorktown in 1942. Nobody point out that lots of Japanese carriers were sunk. Personally, I feel if we get into a war with any navel power of any size carriers will just be great big targets that we have to keep in port to protect.

I think we can do with 2 less of these naval dinosaurs.

The Carrier groups are used to base our air assets for support of our ground troops... the new carrier groups are for phasing out several of the aging carriers and incorporating technology for the new fighters and attack aircraft. I believe we feel that if there is another conflict we will lose some carriers and need to have numbers. We also need these 'force multipliers' to support our allies.

I was talking strictly about deficits. I pointed out that Clinton and I believe Carter were the only two to balance the budget since Eisenhour. In fact I was challenging a statement that Bush was responsible for the entire deficit.

As to the current deficit we should get unemployment down to at least 7% before we worry about it.

I don't believe Carter did and could be partisan by saying that Clinton's Republican Congress pushed Clinton into balancing the budget, but I won't. In point of fact, the budget hasn't really been balanced for many decades.

Around 1965, Lyndon Johnson pushed for having Social Security receipts put into General Revenue to make the defict look smaller. It's been like that since then and amounted to hundreds of billions of dollars per year. The balanced budget concept is typical fed speak. It hasn't been balanced in one half century and probably further than that.

Went there, it's not a plan, it's a political statement that has little basis in fact and depends on "maybe" and "should be" rather than firm answers. There are to many "what ifs" that depend on raising taxes and potetial reductions in services.
