It seems that Barack Hussein Obama has reached a new low by playing to the fears of the elderly and disabled. When questioned today, Obama said he cannot guarantee that retirees will receive their Social Security checks August 3rd if Democrats and Republicans in Washington do not reach an agreement on reducing the deficit in the coming weeks.
Oh really. Well, let’s do the math: The federal government receives somewhere between 160-170 Billion dollars in revenue each month. Paying interest on the debt runs 20-25 billion per month, so contrary to what the Presidential liar says, America will not default. As to Social Security and Disability, that runs around 20 billion, leaving an unspent balance of over 120 billion dollars per month.
Monetary disbursements are the responsibility of the President. It will be Obama who decides where this money goes if the debt limit isn’t raised. Assuredly, he won’t stop welfare benefits. These are his voters. Certainly his blessed federal employees will get their bloated salaries and pensions. They also vote for him.
So what do you think of the White House occupant frightening the elderly and disabled? To me, this makes him little more than a piece of sadistic excrement, but then again, some might feel I’m being too kindly.

The Republicans simply want a reduction in the crazy spending of the Obama administration, why is that a bad thing?
I'd double spending on space.
In other words I'd follow the same spending programs used by Reagan and FDR to get the economy going and increase revenues.
The point is often made the no US carrier has been sunk since the Yorktown in 1942. Nobody point out that lots of Japanese carriers were sunk. Personally, I feel if we get into a war with any navel power of any size carriers will just be great big targets that we have to keep in port to protect.
I think we can do with 2 less of these naval dinosaurs.
As to the current deficit we should get unemployment down to at least 7% before we worry about it.
Around 1965, Lyndon Johnson pushed for having Social Security receipts put into General Revenue to make the defict look smaller. It's been like that since then and amounted to hundreds of billions of dollars per year. The balanced budget concept is typical fed speak. It hasn't been balanced in one half century and probably further than that.
