"The Post Turtle"

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, whose hand was caught in the squeeze gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.
Eventually the topic got around to Obama and
his role as our president.

The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Obama is a 'Post Turtle''. Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him, what a 'post turtle' was. The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'.

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain. "You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, he's elevated beyond his ability to function, and you just Wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there to begin with."

Koolaid drinking dumba$$'s like Mich put him up there, people who still think Obama is going to buy their gas and pay their mortgage. Some liberals don't have enought sense to change their underwear unless they get marching orders from their puppet masters in Washington. That's why a lot of them smell funny.

It is funny, I also heard it said about W, but Obama is smarter than some think, even though it is true that "he doesn't belong up there and you just have to wonder what kind of dumb asses put him up there to begin with." Well, I don't wonder but a lot of people do, unfortunately I DO know (not by name but in general) who put him up there and I do NOT trust them in any way shape or form and neither should you. It is the same group that makes certain we get dumb and dumber to choose from EVERY damn election.

It's a tired old joke that gets trotted out when there is nothing better to say but people still want to appear "witty and clever".
It's neither, try coming up with something original and with some substance.

lmfao. I don't think it's necessarily true of Obama, besides this is a democracy, he has the right to be there, President Elect is President Elect...doesn't imply President Intelligent =P

Last I checked, it was the public that voted for the president and not the representatives. So in this particular instance, it's a democracy.

However, law making is indeed republican.

The public does NOT elect the president, the public only gets to show who they prefer. It is the electors of the electoral college who choose our president, and they are NOT required to vote the same as the popular vote for president.

O.o ooh fair enough. I'll look some more into this. With the media, they report as if it's the American's that choose.

omg.... it's the electoral college who does the actual voting. The crap the public does is more for show. The EC can pretty much do what it wants in most cases. It's one reason there is a push to get rid of the EC, but then we'd really have issues. Democracy = two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.

I don't think you're right with your definition of Democracy I think that what you have just defined is the a Republic.

... why does, "You didn't build that" somehow ring so true with this statement.

"You didn't get up there by yourself"
    "You didn't build that..."

Am I the only one seeing the hypocrisy? O.o

uh huh...if you're going to argue that Soros paid to put Obama in place.

Then I paid for Microsoft to be the top of its game for 8 years. I built that. *fills with pride*. Of course that's nonsense. A lot of people funded Obama and a lot of people funded McCain. Even more people fund businesses (customers/financiers/banks).

There's no difference whatsoever. The president was ELECTED by the people for the people.

Yes, he does qualify as a "post turtle." You can see him flailing around.

He tries to cover it with that skip-to-m'lou routine every time he disembarks from his special aircraft. But it's wearing thin.
