Romney's European Gaffe-Fest was incredibly successful - for President Obama. Not that the world needed a reminder that Romney is running against one of the most skilled Presidents in the area of foreign policy we've ever had, but the contrast couldn't be starker. Romney did the President a great favor by letting the American people know that not only does Romney have no economic plan (unless you consider "let's do what failed the last time" a plan) but is almost as clueless in the area of foreign policy as Sarah Palin. At least Romney doesn't think the Queen of England is the head of the British Government (I hope.)

If managing to insult and degenerate host nations when you are trying to show your chops as a diplomat and spokesperson for your country, then I would have to say "yes". He did a bang-up job of doing both.

NO, NO, NO!! He insulted someone in every country he visited, he sounded arrogant, war mongering, and uninformed. What is the deal with Russia being our greatest enemy? Where has be been for the last 20 or more years?
The only one who benefits from his tour is President Obama. Easy to see who is the corporate raider and who is the Statesman.

It will not make much of a difference in the campaign, since very few people are really paying much attention to what is going on during the Summer months and with the Olympics. They are not paying much attention to what President Obama is doing also!

Success? He wasn't there to help solve any problem . He is a private citizen so he is not privy to any policies those countries have with the USA. The sole reason for Willard to make the trip was for some great photo ops and to appear like a statesman... which he failed miserably. Then there was that $50,000 per plate fund raiser with Sheldon Adelson on his right arm.

And of course, he lied. No news there. He p*ssed off the Palestinians with his remarks about culture then later told FOX that he said no such thing. That is a pattern with Mitt. He lies, there is tape to prove it, but he still denies what he said. Amazing.

Best for whom? The trip was merely a cloak to raise money. I believe with a $50,000 a plate dinner, you might be able to call it a success with other monied folks.....with the minions of the mere minions of the world, not so much.
