Is Mitt Romney extreme on women's issues?

President Obama's re-election campaign on Saturday issued a scorching
press release with an accompanying video that shows Mitt Romney's
stances on some of the issues that matter most to women this election
year.

"Mitt Romney is extreme on issues that matter to women," the Obama campaign's news release says.

Both the video and the press release mention Romney's refusal to
formally support the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, his disapproval of Roe v. Wade, his support of banning all abortions and how he has said he would "get rid of" Planned Parenthood if he became president.

The three-minute campaign video also delves into Romney's support of
controversial Republican politicians such as Wisconsin Gov. Scott
Walker, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett, and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, and their policies that affect the rights of women.

"Mitt Romney's run to the right may be winning him tea party voters,
but American women are realizing they cannot trust Romney to stand up
for them," the release added.

The Romney campaign released a response taking issue with the ad.
"President Obama’s policies have been particularly devastating to
women," spokesman Ryan Williams said. "After more than three years of
the president’s failed economic policies and nearly a million more
unemployed women workers, women voters – like all Americans – realize we
can’t afford four more years of President Obama.”

This could be an indicator that the political “War on Women” may only have just begun.

Wow-I didn't now that all women's issues where so special that they could not be included in the needs of the rest of the nation. I
Now if you want to see and hear some whoreally seeks to LIMIT women please go check out the comments by Liberal Democartic activist Hiliray Rosen on CNN a few weeks ago about Mitt's wife.

I know who she is. That's not the point. She is just a talking head expressing a personal opinion.
If I said that no one should vote for Romney because Rush Limbaugh told a black women calling into his program to "take the bone out of your nose," you would say that is ridiculous. That was just one of Limbaugh's racist remarks. Does that make Romney is a racist?
Yet you would take someones own remark as if it came from President Obama himself. That is just as ridiculous.

Mitt Romney, as well as the GOP, have created a problem for themselves by moving so far to the right to be nominated, like being anti gay, anti immigration, and anti contraception, that NOW they all have to do a lot of maneuvering to get the gay, Hispanic, and womens vote. Without those votes they lose.

Great ad!! Nails him to the extreme wall on the war on women like his GOP buddies. Now watch him try to wiggle out of most of this into moderation as he campaigns since he and the RNC both know this alone could cost him the election. The majority of women, independents, and the youth in the country are against these positions he has taken, and do not want to go back decades to what was settled in the '60s.

So what rights do you think Mitt Romney can take away? It takes the Congress and the Senate to create laws...unlike Obama who legislates through executive order I highly doubt that Romney will do the same. And just why is Obama so tight with the Muslim brotherhood...who treats their women like animals Have sex with your dead wife — Egypt's Islamic gov law proposal?

For any candidate to take a negative stance on women's issues may be trying to self destruct. He has picked on areas that will never fly with most women and unless he moderates them to some extent he may indeed fail on this alone.

    1.) Personhood Amendment to Constitution
    2.) Defund Planned Parenthood
3.) Women with kids at least 2 yrs old must get a job so they know the 'dignity' of work
he'll pay (we) for the daycare centers.
4.) Try to get rid of his Romneycare for the country
5.) Students should just ask their parents for money to go to school or for investing
6.) Supports Ryan's budget which gets rid of Pell Grants and increases interest rate on
    student loans.
    7.) Against gay marriage
8.) Wants to privatize Social Security
9.) Wants to block grant Medicaid which helps single mothers
10.) Lies about Pres. Obama and jobs for women, he knows women lose jobs last, men
have already lost their jobs prior to Obama's presidency.
    There are more reasons

Who knows what he really feels. When he ran for Kennedy's seat, and for Governor of Massachusetts, he supported Roe V. Wade. Now he says he's aching to ignore it. Now, he even claims to be against women having access to birth control, to equal pay for equal work, and to any protection from family violence. If you take Mitt the Presidential Candidate at his word, he's an ultra-misogynist.
