Is Mitt a hypocrite?
So Mitt won't disclose his tax returns prior to 2010 but required more from those he considered to be his running mate. Do you find that hypocritical?

Campaign Requested 'Several' Years of Tax Returns of VP Contenders

CHARLOTTE - Mitt Romney requested "several" years of tax returns from his potential running mates, a senior adviser
to the candidate said Saturday, suggesting that those considered for
the ticket may have been required to reveal more financial documents
that the candidate himself.
In a briefing with reporters in Virginia Saturday, senior adviser Beth Myers,
who was charged with headed the vice president selection process,
declined to specify exactly how many years of tax returns were required,
saying only that "several" were requested.
Several, by definition, implies more than two years.
Romney, who has been under intense pressure to release more of his own
tax returns by both Democrats and members of his own party, has so far released his 2010 returns and an estimate for his 2011 returns.
The campaign has said that the full 2011 returns will be released sometime before the November election.
When asked why he does not put the criticism to rest and just release
more of his tax returns, Romney has said that no matter how many he
decided to make public, there will always be a call to give more.
And while Romney's own father, George Romney,
released 12 years of tax returns during his bid for the presidency, the
candidate today cites Sen. John McCain as the one who set the precedent
to release just two years.

I really want to believe Republicans are providing best candidates possible, that their voters want and will support. Maybe I'm naive, just want to remain optimistic about how our leaders are voted for.
BTW, I hope nobody thinks that means my criticism of Obama is coming to an end because it's not.
Thanks for commenting.
I believe they did in 2008, figured they couldn't win anyway, show the country Obama and the democrats as the losers, and taking back the White House in 2012. Seems like conspiracy, but maybe they've decided things aren't ready yet, and 2016 is now the goal. 4 more years doing everything possible to make Obama administration look bad, sorta balancing things out from the poor job rating Bush had when he left office.
On the other hand, are republican politicians so arrogant, figuring voters too stupid? or do they really think their voters are informed, intelligent, and this is what they want?
If throwing the election is what's happening, really degrades the importance and integrity of the office of President of the United States. Sad if there is any truth to it.
