Michael Steele is the result of the Republicans embracing ANY of the few black Republicans, regardless of ability or qualification, in a cynical attempt to obscure the fact that there are only a handful of black politicians willing to ignore white Republican bigotry in exchange for personal advancement.

LOL I remember Nixon & Agnew being blamed for Jimmy Carter's election!

I also recall believing that 'bush-baby' redefined the federal government to 19-th century disfunctional by underfunding regulatory agencies and making up his own set of rules with 'executive directives'. Perhaps he is responsible for the election of our current president.

It was a ploy from the GOP to make the black man look incapable of working in the office.

Or possibly just another conservative with bottled up tensions. Regardless I find the following individuals less tasteful

Troy King , Jim West , Richard Curtis , Bruce Barclay, Roy Ashburn, Larry Craig , Ed Schrock, Robert Allen , Ted Haggard , Mark Foley

while it's possible, I rather doubt he has that much subtlety in him.

otoh, he certainly seems to prove the axiom about rising to the level of one's incompetence.

It's possible, but more likely he really is as stupid as he seems to be.
