Mia Love is a first-generation Haitian American. She's also a Republican and the current mayor of Saratoga Springs, Utah. Oh, and she gave one heck of a speech at the Republican National Convention a few days ago. Do you think she's on her way to becoming the Republican Party's new darling?

ABCNEWS.GO.COM reports:
Mia Love had only two minutes to speak yesterday. Her time slot was during the 7p hour when most delegates are still milling around the hall and not paying much attention. But she managed to do what many of the later bigger name speakers failed to do: energize the hall and bring the delegates to their feet. That’s why there’s a lot of talk about Mia Love today.

Pss . They have one black woman and say " see we are not racist " and thats all its about . Its not what she has to say its what color she is to the GOP tea party and what they can use her for . I feel for that poor woman .

1 day ago – She's running for congress in her district in Utah... and she has $50 from ... saying that she "could win if more white people would vote for her? .... Gal was a big star at convention...sharp gal ...good luck to her...hope to see her ...

Okay. This is weird but I dreamed this November's election last fall. I saw a woman with Romney and 2 other men leaving as President Obama was onstage with thousands cheering for him. She is the first woman I've seen who resembles the one in my dream. I also saw Axelrod with Obama and believe he is helping him quite a bit so perhaps this woman will help Romney. It will not be enough to win the election but she may well be the new darling. I think you are right on about her though.

Well. I must have gotten you mixed up with someone else. Some dreams are just that but not all of them. I dream 'brain poop' in black and white but color dreams have come true since I was a child. People I've met, places I've lived, snow and ice storms, 9/11, deaths, accidents avoided and elections. Yeah, I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one.

Of course, as a successful, young, minority, female Republican (who happens to be rather attractive) you can bet there's a hit-squad at MSNBC digging into every corner of her past right now. If they uncover a ticket for sptting on the sidewalk when she was 12, we'll never hear her name again without reference to her "abyssmal record on public health issues."

I wish there was an option saying, its too early to say. However, she roused that hall. I wish she had been given much more time, but I saw the flags waving. She was fantastic, even though I didn't agree with all of it.

She is evidence however, that truth knows no race, gender or economic barriers. Liberty affords every American the same opportunity. So called "Progressivism" creates a permanent Dependent class that will wallow in poverty regardless of the promises its' leadership makes to them!

Mia was articulate, poised and uplifing in her rhetoric and she gives great hope for this next generation!
