Jennifer Aniston gently poked back at
right-wing Fox commentator Bill O'Reilly, who raked her for remarks
about single mothers, Parade reported.

In "The Switch," the U.S. actress plays a woman
who uses a sperm donor to conceive. While promoting the movie, Aniston
said a woman's ability to have a child didn't necessarily include a man
in her life.

"Women are realizing it more and more, knowing that
they don't have to settle with a man just to have that child," she told
reporters this week. "Love is love and family is what is around you and
who is in your immediate sphere."

On his Fox show, "The O'Reilly
Factor," O'Reilly ripped the actress, saying Aniston was sending the
wrong signal to children: "She's throwing a message out to 12-year-olds
and 13-year-olds that, 'Hey you don't need a guy. You don't need a dad.
That is destructive to our society."

Aniston responded with
humor, telling People magazine, "Of course, the ideal scenario for
parenting is obviously two parents of a mature age. Parenting is one of
the hardest jobs on earth. And, of course, many women dream of finding
Prince Charming (with fatherly instincts), but for those who've not yet
found their Bill O'Reilly, I'm just glad science has provided a few
other options."

I think women have been raising offspring without benefit of having a full-time father in the household since the onset of the species,...long before Jennifer Aniston said anything.

Last time I guessed minors can't Artificially Inseminated unless they want it, their parents want it, and they can find a Doctor to agree to it.

Something tells me that 12 and 13 year olds that see themselves as well as their friends being raised by single mommies since their dads have long gone have done more to show them that dads have become optional then any movie about AI could!!

I think Bill O'Reilly is the kind of person who thrives on conflict and drama.
He isn't content unless he has something to complain about; preferably something that he's able to turn it into a huge scene that gets him lots of attention.
He'll say anything in order to get the people he's talking to to make statements that support his own personal biased views and opinions in even the tiniest way, and then he'll turn around and proclaim that the person he just bullied just proved his point.
He's as much of a real media professional as I am a catholic cardinal.
People like him are very annoying.
Therefore, I don't take anything he says seriously.

Both are correct. The mainstreem is promoting teenage pregnancy (Juno, Secret life..., 16 and pregnant) while trying to "show" how difficult it is. But thats not what kids that age see, all they see is a chance to get on a show/news/paper whatever and they go for it. They see an easy way out and maybe a way to have a guy stay with them. Thats not what love is and thats not why you should have a kid. You should have a kid because you're in the point of life where a family is what you want and you can support it. Not to keep baby daddy around or to get on a show.

Every little girl is told the story of Cinderella, Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid, or others, and from that moment on that little girl dreams of falling in love like their favorite princesses. It's not something that can honestly be helped. If you fall in love, you fall in love. I think it's just... stupid that O'Reilly would think that.

Because Jennifer Aniston is so popular in the eyes of the preteen crowd. That's her main demographic, don't you know?

It's ridiculous to assume that a 12 year old girl would want to seek a sperm donor because she saw someone in a movie do it. Give the younger generation some credit, Bill. They aren't so impressionable that they'll go out and buy turkey basters and put "Seed Wanted" ads in the news paper. That's just ridiculous.

okay first if kids are wanting to do that then that makes them pretty stupid to follow a movie. second it would be stupid for the parents and doctors to go along with it.

I think O'Reilly says things like that just to keep himself in the spotlight of insanity. He seems to need attention all the time. He's not number one on his lame network, so he has to work harder at being crazy and ignorant.
