No, it's time to *scrap* gun control, and any other naive political scheme that ignores basic realities about human nature. Instead of promoting hard-and-fast rules for who may possess what, let's just say that people can do what they want with their own lives and property as long as they don't initiate force or fraud against others.
It's time for us to grow up and stop trying to control and micromanage everything in this country...it doesn't work, and it never has! Just ask yourself, in the course of human history, has The State stepping in and prohibiting something ever *bettered* a situation, or merely worsened it?

Hunting rifles are one of the most powerful guns around. They just don't look scary so few even care.
You actually don't know how many would be dead.
Assault rifles have been regulated for a damn long time. There's also that Assault Weapons Ban during the 90s that actually didn't do anything at all to prevent gun crime.
Hunting Weapon
Assault Weapon
Same weapon. Same rate of fire.
Assault rifle denotes automatic fire. There's no way this shooter would have been able to acquire a full auto or even burst fire.
You don't have to agree. You have the right in this country to choose to be a VICTIM.
AND STUPID.
People say that assault weapons are highly undesirable because they can allegedly cause more damage than hunting weapons. I've got news for you idiots: most hunting rifles are way more deadly to humans than assault weapons. Some are more than twice the caliber of an M-4 and are set up for semi auto feed, so the only difference is that a hunting weapon is much more dangerous than any assault weapon ever was.
Obviously, gun control idiots are ignorant of firearms. If they knew the first thing about firearms, instead of relying on what hillary tells them they'd know that their endeavors are moronic at best.. So no, it isn't time for gun control reform. It's time to abolish gun control altogether.
What part of "well-regulated militia" don't these teabags understand...?
Such men fought at the battle of Kings Mountain, New Orleans and numerouse others. They were, and are, citizens prepaired to answere the call in times of emergency.
Are you one?
Are you inferring that only militias should be well-regulated...?
In short, and depending on the State in question, these provide a rally point for armed citizens in case of emergency or need. Any Governor can call up the militia at any time.
However, I thank you again for eloquently explaining things I've already known.
