Is It Time to Abolish the 2nd Amendment or Strengthen Or Resolve to Retain It?

There are approximately 12 to 15 million illegal aliens in the United States. Our political leaders and advocates for these illegal immigrants claim that the job of rounding up and deporting them is just too big, so we might as well just grant them legal status and be done with it. If so, consider the following!
There are approximately 300 million firearms in the United States. Yet, many of the same political leaders and advocates who throw up their hands in defeat over illegal immigrants are more than willing to endeavor to collect all the firearms across this land. In fact, Barack Obama and Eric Holder couldn't keep track of about 2000 weapons which they authorized to be sold to Mexican Drug Cartels. They had the serial numbers, they knew the criminals who purchased the weapons, knew the date and time of the sales and still couldn't keep track of them. Pray tell, how do they expect to find and confiscate all those weapons even if it were prudent and Constitutional?!
The naked truth is that it is a matter of WILL, not ability. Regressives want to legalize all illegals because they are building an army to overwhelm law abiding American citizens in future elections. Quite truthfully, this is VOTER FRAUD on a massive scale. We ought to REQUIRE our leaders to come up with a solution to illegal immigration and the plan to deport those that are here. If they can't , those that resist should be driven from office!
Conversely, these same people who are relentless in their quest to strip us of our Second Amendment guarantee, do so, not to save lives, but to render law abiding Americans powerless against wholesale infringement of the other nine Amendments contained in the Bill of Rights! If you think their recent efforts to subvert the Constitution are brazen, imagine what they will do without concern that those whom they wish to enslave might not surrender willingly, and that they, in fact have the means to resist!
Everyone would like a society, free from fear. The fact is, government cannot provide it and has presided over some of the most fearful times in world history. As a side note, those fearful times were almost invariably preceeded by the confiscation of the people's means of self defense. Removing guns from society will not eliminate fear or threats. May I remind you that Timothy McVeigh accomplished murder on a scale fourteen times as devastating as Aurora, CO without the use of a firearm. Fear is part of life and as long as evil exists, fear will be present as well. What we must have is the ability to respond when a threat is imminent, regardless of its source. Firearms are a legitimate and capable means of dealing with real threats. A few law abiding citizens with concealed handguns may have averted the Aurora, CO tragedy completely or seriously minimized the damage. Such cowards as Holmes will think twice if they count the cost and understand that their intentions for their victims could very likely be their fate as well.
Those who advocate the abolition of firearms are either incredibly naive and trusting, or have sinister intentions. We must continue to resist and defeat them to retain our right to viable self defense tools against those who surely will NOT relinquish them if they are outlawed and confiscated.

NPC 2012/07/26 22:40:29It Is Time to Strengthen Our Resolve to Retain the Second Amendment

This is Fear mongering.
the NDAA is an OLD document tweaked by EVERY president as he comes in,..
The 2nd Amendment is not going anywhere,.. and before you trot out that United Nations lie: http://www.snopes.com/politic...
In regards to our border we need to just decide:
Open or Closed.
As far as the Illegals,.. they get a choice,.. Hop through the hoops and pay to become citizens,.. Or leave.
This isn't rocket science.
The Bill of rights is what makes our nation great.
or
Better to not need it then need it and not have it.
Guns are a major part of our culture and I would never vote for anyone that does not completly support our RIGHT to keep and bear arms. Simple as that.
All safety certified adults should be free to carry unless revoked for crimes or judged unfit by court (Improper action by court officers should be a felony offense resulting in instant deportation or 5 years on a chain gang ((defendants pick))
The oft heard refrain has nothing to do with rights but a fear. The founders were quite clear;
"James Madison was put in charge of drafting the Bill of Rights and that his purpose was to incorporate the proposals of the "Pennsylvania minority, Sam Adams, and the New Hampshire delegates." One of the several rights that he proposed was that,
"The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; a well armed and well regulated militia being the best security of a free country; but no person religiously scrupulous of bearing arms shall be compelled to render military service in person."
Several changes were then made to the proposal, and according to the report,
"The Senate in the process indicated its intent that the right be an individual one, for private purposes, by rejecting an amendment which would have limited the keeping and bearing of arms to bearing 'for the common defense.'"" ( http://www.saf.org/MilitiaAnd... )
What is the fear?
Other people with guns? A porous border with violent mexicans?
What would eradicate the fear?
The man who shot his old boss outside the Empire State or the policemen who shot 9 innocent bystanders?
The Second Amendment is in place to enable the citizenry to stop a tyrannical US goverment and is meant to ensure that we the citizens, have access/ownership to the same weapons needed to so, period. Any laws that are contrary to the Second Amendment should be repealed (Gun Control Acts of '89, '68, '34) and states that are infringing on our rights should repeal those laws as well. The Act of '89 has effectively made machine guns unavailable due to no new ones being manufactured or imported for private ownership, thereby freezing the supply and driving up the prices for those that remain; thank you President Bush for succombing to progressive/liberal pressure and throwing us under the bus.
I am not a gun owner, nor any desire to become one.
I am however perplexed as to why "ordinary citizens" who are neither law enforcement or military have a need for automatic weapons.
Are the deers and bears massing in numbers to attack us?
And assault weapons ban expired in 2004.
Not a grocery list, but come to mind immediately.
But thanks for speaking in his defense.
