Is it time for the Patriot Act and the NDAA to be Repealed?

Both were enacted as responses to specific acts, and marked a critical point and change in the defense against acts of terrorism. Many believe, with hindsight, that these may have been knee jerk reactions and the Law was robust enough as it stood to deal with any new threats.
Do you believe that these acts are still needed, or do you feel that they have fulfilled their purpose and should be repealed?

And at least the Patriot act has been turned on the people, while the Obama administration his fighting in court to prevent the NDAA's indefinite detention clauses from being ruled unconstitutional.reply

- Nonpartisan 2012/08/26 17:47:17Repeal these acts, they are no longer needed...+6These acts were badly thought out and passed by a bunch rich of out-of-touch Lawyers who do not seem to know what they are doing, and are at least in some respects unconstitutional. The so-called Patriot Act was grossly miss named in order to get public support for it, as are many things that are passed through the legislature.reply
