If you voted for Obama in 2008 to prove you were not a racist, vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you are not an idiot.

I believe it would be more of a biased vote than a racist one. When blacks voted for the first black President in 2008, were they racists? Doesn't seem reasonable to conclude that.

Considering the literal definition of racism I would say no. I consider that simple favoratism.

Oh yes it is. When you vote for a muslim to run the USA something is bad wrong. I can understand it the first time in 2008. Not now. Now it would be stupid.

And it is equally racist to not vote for a person because of the color of their skin.

What I am saying is the color of someone's skin should not even be an issue. It is their character and values and abilities that are important. I happen to believe that the conservative issues will help our country to survive. I would not vote for Obama but I would vote in a heartbeat for Herman Cain. The color of the skin has nothing to do with anything.

It is only the ability to lead and the way that problems are confronted that I am concerned about. Most people in the world are not racist. It is just like in every race. Some people are bad and some people are good. Some are smart some are not. You have to vote for who will do the better job. I don't want to take every republican in the world and say they are great when not all are not. Every single person is an individual.

If anyone thinks that Obama will do a better job, then vote for him. All the fighting is just stupid. If a person is so unreasonable that they cannot hold a conversation about the differences then don't talk about it.

Do the research please, the republicans freed the slaves and the democrats created the KKK. I'm sorry if history is inconvenient to your belief system. However the philosophies have changed little since 1861. Did you know that MLK was a republican?

Define racism, for that matter define bigotry. If a person passed a law that would tax a certain race of people would you call that racist or bigotry? Because Barrack Hussein Obama did just that.

By your profile I see that you are from MA. is that Maine? I have never been to Maine. Is it true that your beaches have GIANT ROCKS scattered about? We have nothing that interesting here in Florida. Although we have 26 different ecosystems here, more than any other state east of the Mississippi River.

Massachuettes, Cape Cod. I grew up in PA, but moved here in 1993 to continue on with education. Moved back to PA in 2003, but returned to the Cape in 2007. There's a saying here that once you live on the Cape and leave, you almost always move back. Beauty abounds! I've never been to FL, but there are parts that are very beautiful. The Cape and eastern shore have as many different beaches as people! In the 15 years I've been here, I have yet to see all the different beaches. From September to May we rear rounders have the beaches to ourselves, and people are allowed to let their dogs on it. Its nice, beautiful sunsets! Unfortunately it's like all tourist areas, jacked up prices, and there's this Cape thing where some chain stores use the fact that it's the Cape to not honor sales that are throughout the state. A one bed studio can rent for $800 on up per week in summer! So many thing to see and do, something for everyone! I do have pictures of shoreline on my Facebook.

We have the same tourist prices here, however a drive inland just a few minutes will provide you with the savings to make the drive worthwhile. Although I grew up all over the world, (military brat) the farm in Tarrytown is where we call home. It's about 50 miles west of Orlando, separated by almost 50 years of advancements. People still go to the "filling station" for gas, mechanical problems that can't be remedied at home and during hunting season to get your venison dressed. The first day of Hunting season is considered a school Holiday, the national anthem is 'Dixie',people still have party lines for their telephones, and some people actually ride horses to school and work. There are 4 red lights in Sumter county. To say it's rural is an understatement. To get here just jump on I-95 and head south. Most Northerners enjoy our weather from December to March, February being our coldest month. Last year it was in the 40's for almost a week, Brrrrrrr. I know we probably sound like whiners, but dadgummit we don't care for that cold weather. We farm almost year round. We have a rich history of pirates, smugglers, cannibals, Indians that NEVER signed a surrender treaty with the U.S., We have the oldest city in America,"Saint Augustine", and a plethora of foods from southern cooking...

BTW what do people from Maine call them selves? Up until 20 or so years ago we were Floridans, pronounced floor-duns, how ever with the influence of outsiders the world now knows us as Floridians, pronounced Floor- rid-e-uns.
