What kind of question is this???? Seems like to me that when you chant USA in our own country then that makes you a patriot! If the folks making the complaint don't like it then they can just go to some other country and I say to hell with em! The student's that were chanting in my opinion should be congratulated for that and not punished.

NO and what idiot thinks it is racist to chant the USA?....Pledging allegiance to the flag, singing the Star Bangled Banner and the Battle Hymn of the Republic should be a requirement in public schools.....and speaking english should be required to get a drivers license.....if that makes me a racist then I'm of the worst kind.....

Weird.

The only sporting event I can ever remember chanting 'USA' at any point is the Olympics.

That being said, this is one of the downsides to the technology age; everything that happens is now a 'story' that can be spun into a controversy.

There must have been illegal aliens on the losing team or perhaps their coach was an illegal alien. It doesn't make sense that any American team would be offended by the celebratory proclaiming: U.S.A.!, U.S.A.!

WHO'S being the racist here?? The team chanting "USA" or the people calling it racist because the other team has some brown people on it as though it's a FACT that ALL brown people can't be Americans.. And even if they WEREN'T Americans,, HOW is it racist to chant "USA" on American Soil???

These are BOTH American High Schools and the chant should offend NO ONE on either side..

Well.. then apparently those at Edison need more education.. I'm not assuming that ALL Brown people are NOT Americans.. I'm assuming these Edison Students are Americans and because they ARE Americans they should be joining IN with the chant instead of complaining about it..

I am proud to be English, and these kids are simply proud to be an American! Where is the harm in that?

Also to mention, England also has that fear of political corectness egged on by raving mad liberals. People have been banned for waving the English flag for the Football World Cup.... in England.... in fear of offending someone. You're not alone America, we also live in a nutshell. :|

I am very aware what is going on over there in the UK. Flying the English flag or Union Jack is considered racist. Same thing with referring to Christmas. I feel for you over there.
