    Not that I have seen. Talk negative about Obama and you are racist, talk against homosexuality and you are labeled a homophobe, speak up for God and you are a Bible-thumping extremeist. Does not seem to matter, if you stand up for yourself you are labeled by the opposition. So...just stand up for yourself and let the chips fall where they may.

    I tried that but my stress and white guilt got the best of me. I've never done anything to another person over their orientation so where did all this pain come from...? Who did this to me...? The funny thing is true racists don't hurt over it...lol

    This all got started when I asked the question.. '' If whites become a minority will we get minority benefits'' The thread went fine until one guy said ''race bait'' then several new commentators hopped on the feeding frenzy and started calling me a racist so I chose to erase the question. It was a pathetic showing from my fellow SodaHeads.

    Well sometimes people need to understand that some question are genuinely questions of wanting to understand something. Instead of asking questions about the skin color, instead ask questions about their culture. Most people do not get offended when you ask questions about their culture. Instead they become quite flattered that you want to understand them. For example, a guy asked about Chitterlings...which I find Chitterlings very disgusting. I told him the history behind Chitterlings and how it became popular amongst the Black Families.

    Sometimes it's difficult to answer anything on here without being attacked by some religious nut or a political jerkoff,nine times out of ten what they're carrying on about has absolutely nothing to do with the original question. I don't seem to have any problems with racism, many of my Sodahead friends are from different parts of the world and that's not a problem.

    Apparently not. The sad thing is, a good number of those willing to call you racist will in the next breath tell you there are no races. In deference to that, I have been making a concerted effort to use the term ethnicity, which may be slightly more accurate. The fact is, there are numerous differences between, and even within, ethnicities. There is nothing wrong with recognizing these differences or even celebrating them. The problem, and true racism, is when these recognizable differences are used as an excuse or justification for holding dominion over another.

    Funny, he can't divide himself. He is biracial. Can he call himself white? Would that make you feel better? I mean why does he have to identify himself as being black or white? He's both. What's the other choice for him and other biracial people like him? If his skin color was a little whiter, and he could "pass" would that make you more comfortable with him? I'm just saying. Why are we as people so fixed on the color of our skin. It shouldn't matter. We are all facing the same issues day in and day out but the only thing we seem to be able to do is worry about someone's skin color and hate them for it if it's different than ours. How stupid and self-defeating is that? We could be so much further along in this country on the things that really matter but we choose to let something as insignificant as the color of our skin divide us.
