Prove to us that these things do indeed happen and that when they do they happen for no justifiable reason.
"Muslims say the Western world misrepresents Sharia by focusing on beheadings in Saudi Arabia and other gruesome punishments. The equivalent, they say, would be a debate about the history of Western law focused on America's electric chair.
Some modern Muslim scholars say that while Sharia includes provisions for capital and corporal punishment, getting to that stage is in fact quite difficult.
The most famous Muslim thinker in Europe, Tariq Ramadan, has called for a moratorium on these penalties in the Muslim world.
He argues that the conditions under which such penalties would be legal are almost impossible to re-establish in today's world."

Is Islam a sick-minded religion for commanding that people be stoned to death, beheaded or otherwise killed for no justifiable reason?

im seeing "Exodus 22 (New American Standard Bible)" on my end and when i go to verse 18-21 i get:
18 “You shall not allow a sorceress to live.
19 “Whoever lies with an animal shall surely be put to death.
20 “He who sacrifices to [r]any god, other than to the LORD alone, shall be [s]utterly destroyed.
21 “You shall not wrong a stranger or oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. 22 You shall not afflict any widow or orphan. 23 If you afflict him at all, and if he does cry out to Me, I will surely hear his cry; 24 and My anger will be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.

"Whoever sacrifices to any god, except to the LORD alone, shall be doomed.
is there a difference between the New American Bible and the New American Standard Bible, one would think so, i assumed it was the same one
I have several versions.of the bible at home. Both the the "Staten Bijbel" and "Nieuwe Staten Bijbel"which are the old and new version of the official Dutch Bible, a "Jehovah Witnesses Bible" a "Momon Bible"(and Book Of Momon of course) and a King James version. I never compared them side by side before but sure enough they show the same shifts in verses when i checked.
Your comment provides me with hours of fun research for which my thanks and gratitude
Many religions appear to go through similar growth cycles. I think it's just that modern communications are so far superior to what existed 2,000 years ago that today everyone can read about the "atrocities" of those who believe differently. St. Stephen was stoned to death ("the first Christian martyr," was he not?), but the folks in China probably didn't get the word for a long time (if ever). Suttee had existed in India for centuries before the Brits came.
