No they are not.
Even if they are, America has it, Russia, China, UK, Israel, India, Pakistan, North Korea, France, Germany, Turkey ...etc. they all have it.

If Iran were to demonstrate that they already have nukes, that would guarantee that neither NATO nor anybody else would ever invade them.

I think a country think they have arrived if they could make a nuclear weapon. Really I think it just pushes you to the top of the list as public enemy no.1. Russia and USA where that at one time. Thank God cooler heads prevail in that one. Now Iran with a crazy leader will have control of a nuke..........that is scary..........

I don't usually comment this early, but if Iran has a nuclear weapon or is in development of it and we are sure or almost sure, then not attacking and stopping this program is almost treason. A nuclear weapon under Iranian control is a risk to Israel and U.S. military bases close by. The U.S. is obligated to stop this program from going further, because it is for sure a threat to us and our interests in the region. A nuclear Iran destabilizes the very delicate oil import relationship in the region, that is already at a critical level. The markets will not like this destabilization so it is a win win to attack this country in my view. I am sorry for the possible innocent Iranian lives it will take, but at the same time it may save millions of lives.

They have stated before that they were attempting to do so, so why should we think that suddenly, with all their sponsorship of terrorism and supplying our enemies with IED, that their aims have changed simply because they say they are simply trying to develope a nuclear energy source?

I'm not sure how far along they are, but they have been working on it for years. They will be a threat to most civilized nations when complete.
