From Are you smarter than a Fox News viewer? Take our quiz:

'The survey found that "substantial levels of misinformation were present in the daily consumers of all news sources." But Fox News viewers were significantly more likely to be misinformed than those who get their news from other sources. And, greater exposure to Fox News increased the degree to which viewers were misinformed.'

More from Warning: “Greater exposure” to Fox News will lead to “increased misinformation” on policy issues

'A World Public Opinion (WPO) poll finds that a remarkable 60% of those who watched Fox News almost daily believe that “Most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring,” whereas only 30% who never watch it believe that.'

The better question is whether CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, the NY Times and all the other Democratic shill media are legitimate news media or simply propaganda arms.

You can buy a video from an adult store if that's what you want. I watch the news to be informed about world events, to learn something, to become aware. At the cost of being ignorant, no it's not worth it.

People who watch Fox "news" are less informed about world events than people who don't want any news at all! Now why is that? Probably because they are feeding you misinformation.

They do have the ability to do real news but then they twist it to fit into what their producers think it should really report. They are far from fair and balanced and the way their news organization is set up now, no I don't think they are. But with a more neutral ownership and producers, I think they could be. As to what Rachel says, it is hard to argue with her but it is too late, I already voted.

There is no legitimate news media anymore, imho. What I do is this: Follow the liberal media and try to see through the smoke screen. Follow the conservative media, ignore the hyperbole and try to read between the lines. Then watch Al Jazeera, and again keep an eye out for biases and distortions in narratives. Finally, make up your own mind instead of picking any of the three pre-digested viewpoints.

Ah, so no news is legit anymore, that actually might be pretty offensive to real journalism. You know, people who report on events and not inject their own bias. When I turn on the news or read a newspaper, I want to know what is happening in the world, not see what Fox News would like to be happening. I certainly hope you can understand the distinction.

Do you notice something about this reporter here, she was obviously trained more on how to argue with people than to report the news. Isn't that a interesting aspect of this reporter. In fact, that seems to be a key attribute in almost all of Fox's reporters, except for the liberal on Hannity & Colmes who is very submissive, what a coincidence.

Just look at how combative this one Fox employee is

It's so painfully clear how they just train these people to argue.

I agree with your opinion on Faux News. But you have to admit that your criticism of Fox News doesn't say anything about the journalistic quality of the so-called Liberal media.

Once you stop buying into pre-digested political idelogies and start to see through the thick fog of political correctness, you're able to spot the ideological bias of all major news stations and outlets. It's all just opinion pieces nowadays.

If you want an example, re-watch the media coverage of the G20 protests in Toronto and then talk to one of the peaceful protesters in order to get the real story.

One of the things FOX likes to do is distort the facts, skip the facts completely, or they make them up. FOX doesn't really give you both sides of any story and if it is your only news source, you would never know that. FOX also litters it's story with opinion which isn't really news but they don't tell you what is and isn't the news. They love to make things up and qualify them by saying things like "some people say" or "I have heard". They are really full of crap when it comes to hard news.

They take the time to label opinion and fact. They also present a much broader spectum of articles. Their market share and trust polls seem to back it up.

Yes, the most legitimate. According to Media Watch, they are Fair and balanced as all media should be. They constantly receive higher rating then their competition. Rachel Maddow is a liberal idiot. The protest marches weren't against the government but encouraging a smaller government as our Constitution does.
