Is FOX news a legitimate news source?

Fox has their biases, as does MSNBC, CNN. I hear a lot of smear jobs about how Fox is faux news etc etc. I hear very few specifics regarding errors on Fox. Fox is upfront about making its orientation clear. Some other news networks do not have that integrity.

I would not totally rely on Fox to form my world view, any more than I would rely on CNN. Doesn't mean neither of them have a legitimate place.

A propaganda machine that just lies is not legitimate news. It reminds me of the news in Orwell's Oceania. 24 hr propaganda. A shame that so many have been taken in by these snake oil salesmen.

I Don't own a tv even if I did I would not waist Good homemade beer/ wine brew making Money or fishing bait money etc on the cable bill pay to listen to them...... Thank God for Youtube Rush Limbaugh Mark Levin, and the NRA for other wise who els would be good enough to listen too... ...

The fact that the other so-called news sources are basically ignoring the Fast and Furious scandal disqualifies THEM as ''legitimate news sources''.

There's a reason why they've been #1 in cable news for over 10 years. Every person you named are commentators, not newscasters. Learn the difference.

Yeah, I was raised on conservative talk and Fox news I then I decided I was not just going to take their word for it. Also their slam piece on my favorite author Kurt Vonnegut on the day of his death kind of did it for me.

They are no less legitimate than the liberal crazies at CNN and MSNBC.

So, do I send my Christmas Wish list to you Michael? Of those you listed, only Mike Huckabee has a show on FoxNews these days. Glenn Beck on rare occasions these days appears as a guest. MSNBC and the MSM are full of biased reporting, much more so than FoxNews!

First of all, Glenn Beck and Rush are not part of Fox News at all. You shouldn't create polls about a network that you don't watch. Sarah Palin is a political contributor and is a helluva lot more relevant than Al Sharpton on MSNBC.

Fox local affiliates are, as is Fox Business. The Fox News Channel is 50% news commentary and 50% political commentary depending upon when you watch it. Nothing wrong with that. It's just that there are very few pure news outlets. OpEd used to be a feature and now it is the substance. This is why the print news is going out of business. They don't report anymore.

I personally judge a news organization based on how much they piss off Washington and Businesses. If they don't, then they aren't investigating anything and are wimping out. If they are liked by Washington and Business, then they aren't asking the tough questions.

Fox News will always give to access to both sides of the story and delivered by people that each belive the side they are arguing. The people on Fox that represent the liberal side of the argument are intelligent and skilled debaters. That's what you want. MSNBC, in contrast, is a love-fest of comisserators all complaining about the same thing. There's no debate there.

Unlike some of the liberal news (sic) outlets that don't even attempt to disguise their progressive/socialist agendas their masters dictate.

They are the most legit one on the airways today. I say that because I watch most of them from time to time. The least legit is NBC/MSNBC. What a pile they are.

All ignore important stories and instead focus on sleight of hand tricks to make people thank that there is any difference between the two bloated government parties. They are a propaganda outlet, plain and simple. Turn off the idiot box and study the cause of personal liberty and the war on it at the hands of those parties.
