I wouldn't know. We see that Facebook wasn't worth what the investment bankers thought it was worth. Whether it's worth anything at all, remains to be seen.

Facebook is filled with people who actually believe others are excited to know when they took a dump, what color their pet pig was sprayed while in a drunken stupor, the parking problems at the local Wal Mart, or when someone lost a fake fingernail. It's one of the worst things that could have happened to modern man. I hope it goes away.

Let's see an online site that has no real product and yet almost a billion sheep flock to? Can you say myspace? Epic fail!

100 billion for a worthless website. I just don't get it.

Too big to fail and too big too change is as big a problem for us us as it was for the dinosaurs.

The question that presents itself is whether the people who have now "bought in to Facebook" will allow it to evolve..

For is it not true that the inscure investor does not like trying new things because it involve an incalculble risk?

Good ideas will flourish in a free market, and bad ideas will not. I tried Facebook and it didn't appeal to me, but it still seems to have quite a following. Only time will tell, but it seems like the people who have "real" serious money to invest right now are not as interested as a lot of people thought they would be.

It's not over, it's just over-valued, drastically. Beck's analysis on the right track, but flawed in the sense that they don't produce anything. It's like sitting at a poker game, if you don't know who the mark is, then you are the mark. In the case of Facebook, if you don't know what the product is, then you are the product. The only thing that brings Facebook value are its users. The problem with an Internet based business is figuring out how to monetize the visitors. Facebook prided itself in not having banners and buttons all over the place, that's what made it cool, but cool doesn't last forever, especially now that they are publicly traded. They will now have to find ways to give their new investors a return on their investment. There's nowhere to go but down from here, a year from now we'll have a better idea of the true value of Facebook stock!

Say it with me boys and girls “dotcom-bubble” . Liberals are all retards and now in their darkest hour they hoped to repeat the history that they have worked to keep everyone from remembering ...President Clinton's budget almost balanced in the end based on internet stock sales and President George W Bush took office during a 7 trillion dollar loss to the economy . Being economic idiots and slow on the uptake Liberals facing 6 years of their own policy where hoping FaceBook sales would pad this years GDP and let them slide back into office ...but most investors already know better than to buy worthless stock ! So they loss LOL dotcom bubble

I don't think FaceBook is over but eventually it will go the way of MySpace once the next greatest thing comes along. Seriously, anyone that pays attention to DotComs and their bumps and bubbles should have predicted that everything leading up to FaceBook's big day, was pure hype.

Never been a facebook kind of guy, so none of this affects me, but......

Zuckerberg is an ass and he has no problem biting the hand that feeds him.
This lawsuit will continue to drive the overpriced IPO down causing all those poor investors to loose there butts.

Some neo-marxist on this site will say "thats capitalism", but I say no. It's an indictment of the founder and his crew. Self centered immature little asses that have no concern for anyone but themselves.

I think that the accusations of insider trading and the owners manipulating the market with overestimation of advertising revenue. Will ultimately affect the market price with a drastic drop in income. Which will stimulate a rush of share holders to sue Facebook the company on the basis of miss sold shares due to fraudulent manipulation of selling information.

People really ought to look at corporate assets before assuming that "good faith" is worth a hundred billion dollars. The employees are probably sitting on rented furniture and the "good faith" wasn't there. Facebook IPO funny

I always love this 'damnyoumaggot' .. (always hilarious of a word choice in the answer indeed)

    But .. in reality .
    many are turned off ..
by numerous 'faults' .. 'holes' .. in the site itself .. (in terms of personal security)
and the silly, obnoxious gaming ..
the global 'share' of everything (the default option .. you have to really check each time )

the only reason I even have an account ..
is that my volunteer organizations publish their schedules of events there ..

and if they start spamming that PAY to highlight your status ..
I'll be closing the facebook account .. like others will too ..
(it screams out .. desperation to pay to highlight your antics)

They will be if they keep on insisting that people prove they are human. I've had an account for 10 years and they questioned me. Had I a direct line I would have given them a streak of profanity that would leave not doubt in their minds that I was human. Security reasons, BS. Spam, yeah right I haven't sent out enough stuff in my time that would equal what a self-respecting POS spammer can do in an hour.
