I don't like him. If America decides to vote for him again they have not learned anything and are hopeless. Example Bush was horrible he got elected again and seemed to screw everyone over again, -note- people never change especially in Presidency. Reasons why never to give anyone second chances at first they'll do great but after they get used to everything they'll go back to their old ways, (seen it happen to people I know and everyone in this situation and one thing I figured no one changes.

Granted he couldn't get everything done overnight, but also Barack Obama is doing a fine job with what little help he has. Keep in mind he's had more challenges than any other President since FDR.

sorry to disappoint you but Obama has done anything good for the economy or anything he said he'd do. He said he would help immigrants get papers so a lot of mexicans voted for him and when elected he said he had other :important things to do" lie! He's always on break I see him out in the magazines or tv doing something that has nothing to do with being president. He's horrible, he's a democrat, democrats aren't good at helping the unemployed thus making the economy better just choosing to take oil form his true religion, MUSLIMS. Had a chance to grab oil from Canada but refused to take it, if he did gas would be $2.00 a gallon and would make it easier on lots of us and better against the economy. If you only like him because he's black you truly need to open your eyes and see what he's not doing. Everyone knows he hasn't done anything good since he started he didn't assasinate bin laden the NAVY seals did all he did was sign the paper letting them kill him, the paper was already made and he had nothing to do with it and he's getting all the fame for it, it sounds like he's a face like a celebrity you know does nothing but keeps everyone happy.

You might want to check your facts. The economy now is better than it's been in four years since before Bush left office. Obama has no control over the price of gas. That has to do with Wall Street. Gas prices are going down, but I'm sure the GOP will try to take credit for that one as well. That Keystone Pipeline was going to endanger the Ogalalla Aquifer which is the largest supply of groundwater in the entire continent. I didn't vote for him because he's black. I like him because he's brilliant, and McCain was inept. Not to mention I don't trust the GOP, and Sarah Palin sure as hell wasn't fit to be President. Obama gave the order kill Bin Laden which means he gets credit.
  • Robert Heisenberg 2012/05/28 08:30:49
    Robert
yeah I guess he gets credit just because he signed papers which is so hard to do. And what do you mean gas prices are low? They are higher than they have ever been and are expecting to go up even more during this summer. And nothing is better it's horrible the economy has long years for it to be fixed and Obama needs to put in his head that helping people with health care does not make it easier on anyone he seems to make us pay more money on things we shouldn't be focusing on a crisis like this. How old are you? yes he does have control over gas because we had access but denied it from Canada like I said over and over again and wishes to take it from the middle east, he's just going to start another war.

He has done that part helping out the immigrants. It hasn't happened overnight like everyone expected, but he can't get much of anything done without Congress. He's done more in just two years than Bush did in two terms. Bush took a grand total of two years vacation when he was in office. And you might want to check your stats. The unemployment rate now is lower than it's been in four years. He's also a Christian. Oil production has quadrupled under Obama, too. I like him because he's brilliant, and I don't trust Romney, McCain, or any Republican because all they're concerned about is making money. Obama didn't assassinate Bin Laden, but he gave the order. That's more than Bush ever did. Bush had two terms. One day kid when you get older and more mature, you'll understand that government can't give people instant gratification. It takes time to hammer things out. Also, the GOP has a long track record of blaming the DNC whenever things go wrong and taking credit for everything that goes right.

You don't have any neutral answers... Obama couldn't get a single thing done as POTUS. He lacks the unifying powers a president should have. He's unfit! He's strangely silent on the moral concerns of America! Unfit I cry! D: When we clean up America morally, things will get better all around. Less gangs, all that jazz. Less knocked up teenagers, less parentless children, etc. When people start caring, that's when people start changing.

To be honest, I would much rather us be a socialist nation like the ones in Northern Europe than the kind we have where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The system we have is either obsolete, or it needs massive renovation. So yes, I would rather have socialism - NOT COMMUNISM - democratic socialism with a mixture of capitalism like they've got in Scandinavia. Those countries were all ranked the happiest nations on Earth four years in a row.

That would be nice if it actually worked that way... But realistically, it won't. It goes against the Constitution and all of that Jazz. And we'd get a whole lot of people taking advantage of the system, and living off of welfare, except using the cash to buy crack. It's a great idea on paper, but not in execution. I'm afraid to go to Scandanavia... Black Metal... Scaryness. I might get burned alive in a church arson or something lol. (I really didn't laugh out loud, I'll be honest... I just thought it would diffuse the situation, not that church burnings happen as much anymore...)

Me too, and Obama hasn't really helped move it forward. But is there really a forward at all? Or just getting us out of debt and creating jobs? It sounds goood... But what is forward? It's not cuz He's black, I wanted him to win because he was black, back in my youth.
  • Heisenberg AshtonI... 2012/05/07 21:26:09
    Heisenberg
He's tried hard to move it forward, but Congress won't let him. Everyone seems to think the President can do everything overnight. We have three branches of government. This isn't a dictatorship. He can't do much of anything when the House and Senate try to filibuster everything. He tried passing an Amendment mandating equal pay for women and another one forcing a balanced budget, but they shot that down. He DID though overturn DADT, and now gays are allowed to serve openly in the military. With any luck, he'll be able to accomplish all that and legalize gay marriages all over America.

I never said that I expected him to do anything overnight, but after 4 years, he should've accomplished something. As leader of a nation, he should, as I've said before, be able to unify it in it's goals, help negotiate compromise between all parties involved... And, forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think gay marriages is what all this is really about. :P And the military... I don't know if DADT really mattered. It didn't really... It was a nuisance, but that's about it ya? I'll have to do a little homework and get back to you on that one.
  • Heisenberg AshtonI... 2012/05/08 05:35:19

He HAS accomplished a lot in 4 years, but Rome wasn't built in a day. The thing you have to understand about economics is you don't want the economy to get too hot, or it'll crash. That's exactly what happened in 1929 before the Great Depression. The economy in the Roaring Twenties was growing too fast, and it was then too big for its britches.

Yeahhh... it won't change anything if he's re-elected, chances are that it will go downhill because he lacks the ability to rally both sides to the betterment of the USA, as in, he can't negotiate compromise.

He can't make Congress cooperate, but they're more likely to do so in his next term because he'll be a lame duck and they can't hold the economy hostage forever.

Who says that Congress are the ones holding the economy hostage? I mean, seriously, that's a huge job that is outside of many if not all of the members power. I don't believe it can be held hostage in a Capitalist nation, even one with failsafes like ours (no monopoly, etc). Obama is a lame duck, which is one of the reasons that I believe that he should not be re-elected.
  • Heisenberg AshtonI... 2012/08/15 03:52:00
    Heisenberg
They're threatening to crash the economy off a cliff to keep Obama from getting reelected which is what they've been doing for the past two years. They want to blame it on Obama then. Obama won't be a lame duck until he gets reelected. One day son when you get older, wiser, and more educated, you'll have a better understanding of how politics works.
  • AshtonI... Heisenberg 2012/08/16 19:34:55
    AshtonInTheWake
How are they threatening to do so? Wasn't our government set up in the first place to prevent that sort of thing? I realize that crap goes on all the time, though I'll have to disagree on him not being a lame duck now: he is, and he's changed his positions on different issues to better suit his agenda, even if it goes against what he supposedly agrees in, I know he's a politician, and that's what they do the moment they sense trouble, but seriously, what all has he gotten done in these four years? Not much..

No, Bush wasn't always right and he wasn't the smartest in his decisions, I'll give you that. Obama can't fix it in four years, nor can anyone else really. However, I believe Obama has run his course, that there's nothing more that he can really dooo :/
