if we get rid of bush tax's cuts then everybody is going to go up.
First of all if Bush would have kept his hands of off the surplus this whole country would be better off. Now all of a sudden there are people saying everybody else will go up well if Republicans get their way and Romney gets in you will be paying more taxes then you have ever paid before and guys like Romney will get a even bigger tax's cut.
Too bad this author decided to block me... some people can't handle the truth!
This did just the oppsite it took money away from people big time and worse it
caused the biggest debt and thousands of jobs.
Let's also not forget the 8 years before '07, for which they are also RESPONSIBLE.
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77 The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5% The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH Remember the day...
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.
The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
You must be reading something that isn't true, as we were bleeding hundreds and thousands of jobs by 2008-2009.
Also, I would tend to think that Republicans had their hand in stopping any policies or watering them down that actually curbed the financial abuses. I don't have proof of this though, so I'll take your assertion that Barney Franks is responsible. That being said, I tend to think it wasn't just the housing crash that caused the financial meltdown, but the off-the books wars of GW Bush's, one of which was necessary by many accounts and the other completely illegal and which costs billions in money, not to mention the blood spilled.
In typical GOP fashion, I'm sure you blame the banking crisis on the President, like the others. You do not look at history. You look to the present without seeing the things that caused it.
The government does need help, but the Republicans insist that "government cannot create jobs" .... so which one is it?
To people who need a job, any job will do - including a "government" job - it's still a job.
But I will say he has pointed the finger at Bush, but mostly the Republicans NOW. I can understand you don't want to hear about Bush, but NOW does matter and the fact of the matter is Republicans should be held accountable. So long as they point to the President for their failed policies, they should expect a finger pointing right back at them.
Interesting.....and now you won't answer Kane, why?
