It seems to me that liberalism is based on victimhood and personal weaknesses. Most of the Conservatives that I know just want to be left alone, they can take care of themselves and their families. It just seems to me that Conservatives see ability and Liberals see helplessness. How do you see it?

That is exactly it. They're trying to create the serf class that was used to overturn the czars to institute communism. Here, you didn't have a class of people like that so they're working to create their own. They're called progressive liberals.

I agree and never has it been more prevalent than under the current administration. The excuse generation as I refer to it seemingly believe that performance doesn't matter as much as just showing up.Again yesterday "May Day" idiots all over the country thinking they are not receiving their "fair share" I say" Fair share of what- my rightly earned money?" Instead of blaming those of us who've spent our lives working diligently,striving for and accepting nothing less than exceptionalism at everything we've done to earn our way, maybe they should look at the simple fact that we all are born with free will and not confuse no choices with poor choices

Pretty good way to sum it up. I see it where liberals seek to have everyone dependent on government handouts, so they can be enslaved to the government. Conservatives have compassion and would rather teach a person to fend for themselves, while liberals seek to enslave people

Sounds like your describing libertarians as well. I don't think that all liberals are weak- caring about other people is never weak. I think that they're far too liberal with our money- that's the main problem.

Yes, libertarians are very strong people. Caring about someone is doing something with your money, not money extorted from others. That is true caring, the other is nothing more than trying to feel good about yourself.

about the same. While my kids were going to College I wished that the Government would have just left me alone for the 5 years I needed to get my son an education rather than put everyone else through school. My son couldn't get anything but loans because me and the wife made over $50,000 a year. I promise as soon as he got an education I would come back and help everyone else.

No, I'd vote for Ron Paul if he was the nominee. When I say anyone but Obama, I mean just that unless they find a worse man. I don't think that's likely. I just want RP supporters to be able to admit defeat and help defeat Obama if that's what it comes down to.

If Obama loses so go his Communist friends, that's a vast difference. Romney isn't a Marxist. I'm not going to argue about Ron Paul because it doesn't matter, he's not going to be the nominee. You can vote for him or yourself for all that matter and it's going to get Obama re-elected. If that doesn't matter to you and you see them both the same then go ahead. I'm not big on the Muslim Brotherhood in sensitive security positions and Obama's got them right on top.

Why are you telling me to read the Bible? I don't think the end times are here, just yet. I think there will be another Great Awakening but things have to get bad first...we have had it much too good for too long and we don't appreciate what we have.

I just think that Romney buys us a little time to wake more people up. They're all still sleeping, you know.

Yes, most are missing it. However if you read the Bible the duty of the Christian to Israel is also very well stated. I don't think Ron Paul is the answer. I voted for Perot and got Clinton....I'm not doing that again.

I think you put it very well. Liberals need victims to support their religion. Conservatives need success to support theirs cause.

Before Obama came along I had respect for liberals standing up for the minorities, but Once Obama started campaigning It seemed he atracted the most militant and hateful liberals in the party. I should know I was doing campaigning for Hillary at the time.

The way they attacked one of thier own turned me from moderate liberal to moderate conservative.

Where they once pushed for equal rights they began to try to punish the people that used to be on top and they became what they were fighting against ; facist.

(Yea I am a flip flopper as you call people largely because I think the country needs different things at different times.)
