Is Colin Powell simply too smart for the Tea Party led Republicans?

Colin Powell is simply too smart for the Tea Party led Republicans
Colin Powell is not too smart for the Tea Party led Republicans
Powell, being the savvy politician that he is; told Hannity that President Reagan promised not to raise taxes, and he turned around and raised taxes 12 times.
Powell responded by calling out commentators, pundits, and especially Republican leaders and officials who got together during Obama's inauguration in the infamous, secret pact meeting to vow to destroy him at all costs—including the cost to the country
Powell told Hannity that you can’t just sit around saying no more taxes ever, when you’re operating on a 3 trillion dollar deficit while you’re only taking in 2 million dollars of revenue.
According to Powell, investors, banks, markets the auto industry, and most businesses would agree that they are better off today, because 4 years ago the financial roof was literally collapsing,
To put it plainly, Colin Powell is just not dumb enough, not shortsighted enough, not hasty enough, not politically selfish enough, not gullible enough, and not pigheaded enough for the current, Republican brand

Colin Powell is one of the VERY few republicans I can stand by. He isnt a party loyalist and he does what is good for the Nation.

Once you diagnose the TParty mentality and aspirations and potential outcomes, most everybody is smarter than them. They don't even know what the original TParty was about because they would support the British(BEIC) today instead of support the actual patriots who were being harmed. So, it ain't sayin' much. That Powell is smarter. Didn't Powell decieve us with WMD?

Colin Powell is all about Colin Powell and now Colin is trying to reform his credibility with about the only folks that still buy books, conservatives. This is all about image rehabilitation and the almighty dollar. Powell blew is credibility with conservatives when he threw in with Obama. Republican Presidents made him and his misplaced affinity to this totally unqualified one has rightly cost him.

Colin Powell endorsed Obama because they are both black. It has nothing to do about policy. It's all about race.

Colin Powell courageously split with his party to support the best candidate in 2008, and I expect he'll do the same this year.

Absolutely, he in the eyes of the Republicans is a RINO. Honest is the best policy and he is definitely an honest man.

Powell was a failure as Secretary of State. I lend no weight to anything he says. He is very over-rated as to any political significance.

The Republican party is NOT led by the Tea party.

Powell will not be sucked into this band of mind controlling imbeciles, not for any reason. He was once used by Cheney and Rumsfeld to spread their warmongering, and he resigned to move to a better life. No chance at all that he would reconnect with these
people or their predecessors. Unfortunately, owing to his identity as a Republican he has
no viable political base except among "independents" which haven't a candidate in the race.

Colin Powell....if he wanted could lead this nation as President. His biggest supporters would be the republicans and tea party. He'd be their candidate. No matter what happens...he'll still be smarter than the average liberal. No worries.

Colin Powell spent his entire military and civilian government careers sucking up to right-winger's.

He was House Boy to Reagan, the Bushes, and Dick Cheney. (Remember the "aluminum tubes....Niger....small vials....trucks scurring around the Iraqi desert....") G. W. Bush used him up, then kicked him to the curb.

Now the biggest Uncle Tom since Clarence Thomas is trying to make amends, by endorsing the first bi-racial president and moving away from his former masters.

Colin Powell is a phony. To hell with him.

Look at Ron "Bonzo" Reagan, had some kind of Dementia, Nancy had to lead him around. Repo's thought he was great, never noticed, "Pops" Bush. Nobody EVER knew what he said. Terrific. G,"the Shrub" Bush, still falling on his ass drunk; a GOP icon. The dumber they are, the happier they get.
