Good grief... in yet another instance of the left's insanity, calling an illegal immigrant 'illegal' should be considered a hate crime. If it's not freedom of speech these people try to go after, it's the sovereignty of our republic and the ability to protect it. While the video goes to discuss mexicans or latinos as "undocumented immigrants", they fail to mention the OTM (other than Mexicans) that are also apprehended at the border. Individuals from Syria, Yemen, Iran, that have blended in with the Mexicans to come across the border, whose intentions are less than honorable.
See: http://www.wnd.com/2010/05/156441/ Hamas has joined forces with the drug cartels and each group are training each other and coming into the US, both with one objective, bring down the US. And these morons only help their cause.

-----------------------------------

In yet another case of Orwellian political correctness run amok, a video posted at MoveOn.org says calling illegal immigrants "illegal" fits the definition of a hate crime and calls for the word to be banned when used in the context of immigration.

The headline at the MoveOn page screams "One word we hear too often on Fox News," as if only Fox News calls illegal immigrants "illegal."

The left wing nuts will do anything to keep the country divided and keep hatred rampant on everything, especially hate mongers like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, MoveOn.org (who's been trying to topple our form of government for years), Mother Jones, CPUSA...yet those groups who are suckered into following along are really, really being used and they don't realize it. That's how smart they are. Some of them are so proud of their information gathering not realizing they're proving they're suckers when they post links to the above sites.

Look at the latest brouhaha over the Indiana law just passed . He's a Republican. He may run for President. The law is fashioned after the federal law. There's a statement that 19 other states have the same law (not sure on that). Not a whimper when other states or the federal government passed the law, but because of Gov. Pence (R), the LGBT community is being USED by the libnuts to try to take him down.

People better wise up. When protests are started over anything, people need to dig into the bottom of the barrel to find out WHY this is a big deal. This country needs their meds upgraded. Too many paranoids out there. Hopefully, the day will come that things get back to normal.

I'm having an online exchange with an otherwise sane guy who claims that use of the term "wetback" is racist.

    Precisely his word. "Racist."

It has something to do with nationality, but the last time I looked, neither "Mexican" nor "Hispanic" nor even "Latino" denoted the individual's ethnicity.

Look, by 'Murrican standards, I'm a wop. Worse yet, my family's origins are in Sicily, and like lots of Sicilian-Americans, I'm just kinda somewhat...well, dusky.

The island being where it is in the Mediterranean, everybody has been stopping off there (they don't stay for long; Sicilians practice assassination as a sort of national sport) to re-provision their ships and rape everything that can be penetrated with an erect male generative tool. Including goats, nuns, melons, and little boys.

So Africa being not that far away, Sicilians pretty much all have "a touch of the tarbrush." The rest of Italy call us "mulignani."

Means "eggplants," and not because we can be sliced, breaded, and fried.

So to yammer - especially in the direction of a Sicilian, whose culture for the past three thousand years has consisted of not a helluva lot more than dealing with "illegal immigrants" intent upon plunder and conquest - about "racist" for using the term "wetback" in the context where it's precisely correct (somebody crossing the Rio Grande illegally to enter and dwell in these United States in knowing violation of the law)....

Ah, so you're part of the Mafia a/k/a Cosa Nostra, you wop! (Just kidding). Every immigrant that came to this country were called undesirable names but they endured the name calling and went about their business and proved to everyone that they were true Americans and proud to be part of this great nation. They became American, but kept their history and language. They didn't force others to conform to them (like the present radical Hispanics and Muslims do).

In my part of the country, we have Lithuanian, Italian, Mexican, Polish, Irish, days where they celebrate their heritage with food, history, and clothing. Sadly, the Germans are left out for some reason, yet there used to be Octoberfest every year back in the '70s. So far, the Hispanics here are blending in even though crime has gone way up with drugs, robbery, and assaults, but that could also be because of the college.

    The Mafia?

Hey, what could I tell you?

The Black Hand was set up in these United States by non-Mafia Italian crooks (the successful mafiosi stayed in Italy, right?) who used the "Mafia model" to structure their own efforts at organized crime in America. At first, their victims were the Italian immigrants, who didn't understand the social and cultural machinery of government in these United States, and thus were vulnerable to exploitation.

It wasn't until a full generation later that connections began to be developed between the American mobsters and the camorra back in the Old Country.

In this instance, the terms "Hate Crime" and "Hate Speech" are nothing but over-used euphemisms designed to inhibit the exercise of free speech, generally employed by two different groups of life's "losers".

The first group are those who aren't willing to accept any opinion different from their own and raise their sanctimonious hue and cry in an effort to pander to the emotions of the dim-witted and easily-led to gain their support in forcing others to conform to their beliefs. Despite their false, lofty rehetoric, much like the Communists and the Fascists of the 30s, their sole ambition is to control others.

The second group is made up of the whining, sniveling, simpering pantywaists, namby-pambies, and milksops that inevitably spend their lives with their faces buried in their pillows, crying themselves to sleep each night because 'life just isn't fair'. Much like the conquistadores in their fruitless search for the cities of gold, they're doomed to waste their days in a futile quest for a real-life "Mr Rogers' Neighborhood".

The whole idea is a screwed-up Police Nazi thing. If I call a Montreal resident a Canuck, he'll probably rearrange my dentures; but then Vancouver named it's hockey team Canucks! If I call an African-American a n***er, that's a hate crime, but one hears AfricanAmericans using that term constantly, but then it's NOT a hate crime! So it begs the question: If you call a straight person a queer, are you commiting a hate crime? Certainly, you're exhibiting bad taste, but is bad taste a hate crime? Next it'll be combining polka dots and plaid. lol

As it is the correct, legal term, it can't be a hate crime, also a legal term. The law would look at this "hate crime", as a joke. The police officer that did that arrest would think himself luck to keep their job, but would spend a very, very long time defending against paper cuts. The false arrest law suit will make someone richer.
