yes it is because you may devolop anorexia if you have low self esteem.

If you have troubled family issues you might start to starve yourself or you have an obsession with calories, fats, grams, and nutrition which are signs of anorexia.

If you have difficulty expressing feelings you may devolop an eating disorder such as anorexia.

    Read Sensing the self its a book. It will explain y and give you an inside look on the "actual causes" of eating disorders. All being an obsession with detachment and an escape from ones "self" (ones physical, emotional, enviornmental needs and events)
