    He stood against Bush on torture legislation.
    He voted against the Bill to give Big oil tax breaks and in fact argued against it on the floor of the senate (BTW Obama voted yes)
    He has worked to end the money games of lobbyists
    He has NEVER taken any earmarks
    He was on active duty not in the reserves
    His children serve the nation in the military
    He takes responsibility for his own mistakes.
    He was gracious and congratulated Barak on his capturing the nomination and UNLIKE BARAK Honored the achievment with respect and good wishes in the way MLK would have.
    He wasn't rich until he married Cindy McCain. Bush was born rich.
    McCain didn't go to exclusive prep schools
    McCain went to the Naval Academy and paid for the education with 5 years of service.
    McCain adopted a little girl from Bangladesh
    McCain is really qualified to get a security clearance (neither Bush or Obama are if not for the jobs they have)
    McCain puts the country first (neither Bush or Obama do so)
    McCain can find Georgia on a map (neither Bush or Obama can do that)

    The U.S., as a nation, will not be ready for any president for a long time to come. The nation is so divided now that regardless of who gets elected they wll have a large part of the country against them, and vehemently so. Regardless of their intentions, no president now can be a "uniter." With such deep political divisions people will not be united.

    We are not ready for McCain or Obama.
