Ever since President Obama broke the color barrier in presidential elections people started to wonder about what the future could hold. Would we one day see a shake-up at the 'old boys club?

I don't think Americans are ready for say a Muslim president or an openly-Gay president, but maybe a Madame President might not be too far away.

We saw the support that Sec. of State Hillary Clinton garnered throughout her primary fight with Obama. We've also seen the huge popularity of political women fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin and Congresswoman Michelle Bachman.

Yes, this woman. This One woman threatened with rape of her and her family. Having a gun pulled on her in public ,, Spied on by a pervert mext door with no help from the government..... Who studied hard to become a good vicepresident(more than Biden the fool) Called every name in the book and a few new ones and all by Obama and other Democrats. And this Muslim is calling Republicans Haters of Women.... For shame Obummer.... Finally, Obummer and these Woman haters pushed her fightimng spirit out of the race...... Of course "Moderate" Republicans (Moderate means a Marxist Democrat by any other name) breathed a sigh of relief....These could not see a retarded child raised in the WH for any amount of time. Better jhave a Marxist disrespect our WH.
It is time we support this "Lady Couragious" and elect Her President of the US.

Sure, but it will have to be someone who is qualified and who a majority like well enough to give the job to. Eventually such things as gender, race, etc. will have no effect on who we vote for. It will be based on merit, as well as popularity. We should be looking at what their experience is and what they propose for the next four years. Celebrity campaigns and ethnic backgrounds should not be the basis for hiring a President.

I think that the last election proved that America is not, no matter what the political stripe, whether it be Hilary Clinton or Sarah Palin women are either portrayed as ditzy airheads or harpies, regardless of their ideas or experience, a complete double standard.

There is probably 3 or 4 womans that i could see myself voting for, but not one of them would be gov. Palin or the rep. Bachman. A matter of fact them of them have done more harm to the cause of female presidential candidates than good. But as of now, maybe Sec. of State is the only one that is ready & could win in 016.
