Ever since President Obama broke the color barrier in presidential elections people started to wonder about what the future could hold. Would we one day see a shake-up at the 'old boys club?

I don't think Americans are ready for say a Muslim president or an openly-Gay president, but maybe a Madame President might not be too far away.

We saw the support that Sec. of State Hillary Clinton garnered throughout her primary fight with Obama. We've also seen the huge popularity of political women fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin and Congresswoman Michelle Bachman.

With this latest election we were exposed to some exceptional women but the damned good old boys would not give these ladies a chance. Instead they chose the boy with the good hair and most people consider that a poor reason to tout a candidate. Almost as bad as choosing a person for the color of his skin. I really don't know how this election is going to go but if it goes sideways for the republicans they have only themselves to blame. Most coservatives will vote romney not because they like him but the alternative is an even worse choice. Someday, somehow there will be a woman as cic and as long as she isn't a liberal I believe she will do an exceptional job.

I'm willing to vote for a woman president, but not if there is a qualified male as an option. I was going to vote for Michelle Bachmann if she won the primary. If you think that is chauvinist I can't apologize this is just how biblical principle is shown.

I think that the door is open for America's FIRST Woman President but I believe that America had LEARNED a LESSON from the realities of our LAST election..

NOBODY should be voted FOR or against because of their race or gender..

It is the CHARACTER and the qualifications for the job that must be judged,, NOT the sex or the color of the skin..

There are women on BOTH sides of the Political Spectrum that would make an excellant President though those in the opposing party would naturally disagree with the choice..

The same has ALWAYS been true of each President elected in the past so THAT'S not going to make any difference..

The LAST thing that we need to do is jump from the frying pan into the fire simply to make History.. Our Choice for a Woman President SHOULD be made on the same basis that we have used in the past to elect our BEST Presidents..

If nothing else.. The past 3 1/2 years have taught us the FOLLY of forgetting that..
