We are never ready for something new until it's not new anymore. Someday this questions will sound as silly as are we ready for a Catholic Presidence or an Irish President.

It is now 09June2013 ---------- And Obammee has been in office for a term and a few months.
And he is STILL in campaign mode, while his lackey staff runs amok, and he DOESN'T know it is happening! ;)

I believe This country may be ready for a black presedent. But not the likes of what is presently running. I cannot believe anyone in their right mind would vote for this piece of gabage who will not even recognize our National Anthim and wont fly the immage of our flag on his aircraft . If Collin Powell or Connie Rice were running My vote and many million more would gladly be cast for a black person

Yes, this will be remembered in history as the presidential election that started us on the road to a better future, but ethnicity has nothing to do with it. True, many people will vote against him because of his ethnic background and a few will vote for him based on the same thing, and it's also true that having dealt with having a mixed racial background in a world where racism is still rampant gives him valuable experience on which to draw when dealing with issues related to racism, but even without that he would be our best president ever!

I too died a little inside on November 4th 2008. I'm sure many patriotic Americans are grieving and have this same feeling of depression for the loss of something dear to our hearts. The damage that Barack Hussein Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will do to our beloved country is frightening. I fear the changes they have in store for us are catastrophic. White America will suffer for 50 years. We are now a minority with no one to help us. The white democrats haven't the foggiest idea what they've done. They will be punished along with the rest of us. I saw the gallop interview of Obama voters, their stupidity is beyond belief. People that stupid should not be allowed to vote.

There are still pockets of haters out there. We know them as KKK and White Power skinheads. But I'm guessing there are some pockets that we don't know about. But you all should look at the word pocket. The word pocket represents a small part of a pair of pants. We all know that there is allot more to a pair of pants then its pockets. In saying this we are as a whole ready for a black man for president. We are ready in spite of the few pockets here and there. The pockets don't represent the majority.

Now I must say this. This country is made up of about 85% every other nationality and only 15 % or less white. So with that in mind the reason we have not had a person in office other then a white man is only because it has never been a real possibility until now. So I say this. It's bound to happen someday. So if this is the year, so be it! Why fight against something that can't be avoided. The whites in this country are really the minority. The majority is people of color and are bound to eventually place a man or woman of color into office. It will happen some day. End of story! This year might be the year. Stop trying to fight progress.

THIS COUNTRY IS SO DRIVEN ON RACE AND AVOIDS THE ISSUES. THEY MAKE RACE OUT TO BE AN ISSUE. MOST AMERICANS WANT AN OLDER WHITE MALE IN THE OFFICE, AND THAT SUCKS ASS, OBVIOUSLY MUCH OF AMERICA IS DRIVEN BY RACE RATHER THAN COMMON SENSE.

Silly question and strange poll answers. Why should any the election be historical over any other? It is no different save the candidate mix. Yes we do have a woman and a black man running but aren’t they both Americans first and fore most? Each thinks he/she is qualified and the vote of the people will decide who is best suited. I could care less if a black man, woman, Jew, Mormon, etc runs for office. Race, color, religion, gender, etc have no bearing on qualifications. So YES we are ready for a qualified President-race, religion, color, or gender have no bearing on my vote. My opinion on the matter is that this should be the thinking of all Americans: I know it is not the case for many and it is disgraceful. When we degrade ourselves by stooping to levels where race and, more recently religion, detour a vote for a qualified candidate it smacks of bigotry and or racism. This is not what makes American so great. Now if you had asked are we ready for Obama then my answer is a resounding NO. Obama is not qualified nor do I think he is capable of handling the Presidency. He is nothing more than an iconic orator with followers; he is an empty book.

What is truly sad about this argument is the assumption that Black are somehow less American than Whites. Furthermore, the fear that if a Black president were in office it would be bad for Whites. Newsflash White America, there is nothing to fear. African Americans do not harbor the type of bigotry that has been leveled at us. We would never inflict the type of shame on you in turn because of what has held us up, our belief and love for God Almighty.

Maybe! But then again maybe not! I think he will be too busy speaking to the people about the many issues we are still struggling with. He won’t have time for running for president. There are still too many problems in this country that need to be addressed. He was a great speaker and I think if he were still alive, he would still be speaking great words of wisdom that we all need to hear.

This guy is a seems to have a problem with the truth. Also, he always seems so uninformed of the issues. Sure he can say anything that is already on the news. But, what about the real world that isn't noticed by the drive by media. Things like Russian ambitions. China ambitions. Why free trade is fair, almost always more fair for America. Also using U.S. military faults is like rear seat driving. Come on America, we all can do that. Like, if there is a causualty of war, right away whatever is on the news, comes right out of the face of BHO. And, you might go, yea right. That only means you heard it on the TV and you like watching BHO blurt it out with three word phrases that is just a learned way to speak and sound important. Come on America, think for your self.
