Is America headed towards civil war?

All it takes is some relatively simple historical, political and sociological analysis to realize that America is on its way out, and its going to crash harder and faster than most can fathom. America is a plutocracy. The big corporations will sap up all the resources and leave the remains in turmoil.

You know, I really thought that civil war or even a revolution would start soon, but I've rethought my position. First, Americans, on both sides, are fat dumb and happy... So long as we're preoccupied with our gizmos & gadgets, the government can do as they please. Our "free press" is complaisant! 99percent of the American populous doesn't even know that there recently was a coup attempt and that that's the real reason for Patraeus' removal! Just ask Rear Admiral Charles Gouaette, and a few other military leaders from also the Army & Airforce who by the way have been fired and is facing charges... He was turned over by his own! Which leads me to my second point, unless we the people got comfortable with hardcore insurgency, suicide missions or at least a portion of the military aided us, we the people would be Dead!

The more time people spend buying guns and ammo and seeking shelter on some remote mountaintop is less time I have to be near them, and for that I'm thankful.

It is not Jews, blacks or whites that has robbed America of it's freedom and threatens its very existence it's the corporate oligarchy that has brainwashed us into thinking that the only way to live is a dog eat dog existence without any consideration for sharing the wealth with your fellow Americans. I would hope not. I would hope that everything could just be fixed peacfuly. But I can also see people getting very tired of the way things are going, and it getting out of hand very quickly.

The other night there was a gunfight in town and the victims and their families went to the ER of the hospital where my hubby works. Once there, they all got into it again. City cops, univeristy cops and security guards were there trying to maintain the peace. Hubby had to be escorted to and from the bathroom by security. On his way back to his floor, he heard some of the victims and their families talking about starting a race war and riots b/c they are tired of the white police arresting them whenever they get into trouble. Funny b/c they get mad when the cops come into their hood to patrol it and when there is fighting, to break it up, but they are the first ones crying foul when cops aren't there and someone gets shot and dies. The vicitims always get rushed to this hospital b/c it is state funded so here you have kids w/o insurance or on medicaid shooting each other over drugs and our taxes go to save them. Does anyone else see a problem with this picture???

I must agree here! I was told by a Black Women who works with my wife that black are the most racist and double standard people in our nation! But again I say where do you find these extreme people & views? The Metropolitan areas! Again, it's time we stop talking! It's time to take our country back! Let's start with the liberal media!

We gotta do SOMETHING! Vote2012 will fix nothing. Civil War / Revolution will simply end up with a bloody mess and a new Ruler, so that can't possibly help.

Collapse is the only thing on the horizon which could save us, but only after enduring a long period of plain hell.

Enough with this nonsense already, I'm getting sick and tired of people saying that its time for a second amendment solution to save us from the supposed tyranny of the Obama administration. Yes were polarized more than ever now a days but an armed revolution? Please....

I hate to say this but I certainly hope so, if that is the only way to correct the stupid errors that so many Politicians and Supreme Court Justices have made over the years that ended up destroying the individual freedoms of choices for the people our nation had, then I hope we are headed towards an Uncivil War because that is exactly what it would be very uncivil. After all look how bad our nation has gone by being civilized.

There is such an unrest very similar to the Jim Crow and Civil Rights days. When G.W. Bush, Jr got elected, there was a lot of unrest coming from the Liberals, but as years before, they stuck their tails between their legs, got a stiff upper lip, and though Bush was not their choice they still held respect for him as being the president of the United States. After every presidential election this is how Americans dealt with things until 2008 when a Black president was elected by the majority. People did everything but burn crosses, ride horses and wear sheets. The bigotry came out of the closet and the hatred began. The Republican party has done everything within their power to destroy the presidency of President Obama. In 2008 the campaign got nasty, and the majority of the American people stepped up to the plate and showed the Republican party that they didn't approve of their bigoted beavior, and that what they were seeking was restoration for a nearly torn and broken America; and most of all that wanted justice for "all" Americans, not just for the wealthy. So it is my prayer that the majority that come from all walks of life, both Democrat, Republican and Independent will do the right thing by re-electing President Obama.

Are you kidding me? Bush has received more hatred and disrespect from the left in one day than Obummer has his whole useless first term... Instead of paying "their fair share" in taxes, the wealthiest Americans would be better served if they helped arm those of us who got the balls to fight and take back our country!!

Believe me, the negativity that Bush received was just a drop in the bucket compared to what President Obama has received. For instance, look at your comment, you couldn't even write a simple reply without being condensending. Gov. Romney is a front runner when it comes to "not" paying taxes. The country that I serve is in tact, it hasn't gone anywhere, and the wealthy will soon see that the majority of the American people are not impressed by the wealth of the rich, they have worked hard to support their families, and many of them have lost a lot at the hands of wealthy people, such as Mr. Romney. I thank and praise God that Mr. Romney, Aikens, Murdock, Scott Brown, Paul Ryan and Allen West met with defeat, had they won, you would have been successful in getting your country back as you prefer it, but for many of us it would have been worse than in the civil war days.

I think it's entirely possible that we will see armed civil strife if not an all out war. People are very divided and very passionate on both sides of every issue. It's just a matter of time. We are sitting on a powder keg that's ready to explode.

Yes; but the 1% propaganda machine is so finely tuned, that that the most oppressed are their biggest supporters. Police get their pensions stolen so they oppress the 99%ers. Workers vote against their own collective bargaining, the poor blame the Democrats for their poverty. Christians are the most violent. It's uncanny.
