Woman Dies following Late-Term Abortion at Carhart Clinic

This morning Operation Rescue and the Maryland Coalition for Life announced that yesterday a woman died from complications after undergoing a late-term, 33-week abortion at the hands of the infamous abortionist, LeRoy Carhart, in Germantown, Maryland.

From Operation Rescue's press release:

The woman, who came for a third trimester abortion from out-of-state, arrived at GRHC on Sunday and was seen by pro-life activists every day through Wednesday. Witnesses said she appeared “pale and weak.”

Early Thursday morning, the woman began suffering chest pain and other discomforts. Her attempts to reach Carhart were unsuccessful. The woman was taken by her family from her hotel to a nearby hospital emergency room at approximately 5:00 a.m. Efforts by hospital staff to contact Carhart or get informational assistance from the abortion clinic were unsuccessful.
The patient suffered massive internal bleeding into her abdominal cavity. She slipped into a Code Blue condition approximately six times before finally succumbing to her injuries at around 9:30 a.m. The case has been placed with the Medical Examiner for further investigation.

Legally, I say it's not. It is an unborn child, and like all contraception, it's just stopping it before it becomes a baby. Morally, I do think it's the termination of a life :/

At least not necessarily. I think it's tragic. I don't know if a fetus is a life, and neither does anyone else (no matter what they say); but it certainly is a potential life, and the loss of that, is tragic. However, there are times when it is necessary. Cases like rape, incest, child molestation, and when the life of the mother is at risk. In order to make it a legitimate option for THESE women, it must be available to all. Whether or not it is murder in each individual case, is between the woman who makes that decision, and her god or conscience. I am not qualified to judge them, and neither is anyone else.

So does that mean your son was nothing before his mother's giving birth? Did you not from the very moment you knew you would be a father certainly prior to 7 mos.not think him a worthy being? Think long and hard at the little person you've created and equate him to that "early term" genetic medical waste..Is it then perfectly acceptable that he has brothers or sisters not given that chance.Hey you shared this.

It's not nice/polite to personally attack someone on a website designed for everyone to share their opinions - openly and without the worry of people mistreating them for those opinions. There is a major fallacy with your metaphor. Abortion is the termination of an unborn fetus, I am no longer a fetus and have been born more then 30 years now so I cannot be aborted. Murder can happen to anyone, those children were fully formed, born humans capable of life outside of the womb, as am I, they could be murdered as can I; further more, death happens to all eventually as such I cannot believe any reasonably intelligent person could take from my post an indifference to death when I most clearly am referring specifically to abortion, which at this point in my existence cannot harm me, therefore as asserted earlier it is a waste of my energy and time to bother forming an opinion on the subject especially since if abortion is illegal no body has a say, so I do not have a say, if it is legal as a male I do not have the right to force a woman to either get an abortion or not, so I have no say. So I cannot have a say, and cannot be aborted, there is no point to having an oppinion, it is that simple and pragmatic.
