Iranian official calls for "Islamic awakening" to destroy Israel
But of course he doesn't mean it -- we all know that. We know the Israel/Palestinian conflict has nothing to do with Islam. It has to do with land, and a negotiated settlement will soon save the day. Everyone in Washington tells us so, so it must be true, right?

An Iranian official called this week for an ‘Islamic Awakening’ movement to help Palestinian Authority Arabs “demolish the Zionist regime”, the IRNA news agency reported.The comments were made at a conference in Tehran in honor of Nakba Day – the day of catastrophe – which is what the Arabs call the English date of May 15, when the State of Israel was re-established with a declaration of independence in 1948.
In a brief address at the end of the conference, the official, Hossein Shiekholeslam said, “In success of a revolution three major factors need to play effective roles, and they are the people, the leadership, and the school of thought, or ideology.”
He added, “If we wish success for the Palestinians, the existence of these three factors is necessary, as they did exist in the case of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.”
Sheikholeslam said that “In near future the Islamic Awakening movement would also swallow the Zionist regime.”...
"Why do Muslims still hate us?"
Because we give them the power the backing the weapons etc etc they hate each other and Israel is just as much of about starting conflicts as the Muslims.
"The 1st Gulf war was to liberate Kuwait from Saddam."
NO, the Gulf war was for America to protect it's oil interest and keep balance in the middle east so the oil kept flowing. Many of the Middle Eastern countries were willing to assist, SaudI Arabia being one of them which just so happens to be one of the reasons Osama Bin Laden attacked us.

NO, we invaded Afghanistan because they would not turn over Osama Bin Laden, as well as the US has wanted a western friendly government in Afghanistan since 1998. Amazingly now, we do.

Oh my. I am done with this, I am going to leave you with this. Do some research and find out how China has started doing major talks in Africa for oil. Most of those countries are not pro American, they may take our support but they do not heed to us. Ghadafi was in major talks with other African Muslim countries trying to back oil with gold as opposed to the US dollar which is the worlds interchangeable currency. It's why you hear people over seas comparing everything in the dollar. Now Ghadafi was trying to get other African nations to back oil with Gold and undermine the US currency. At the same time China was making deals with them for oil rights. Guess what other major country in the Middle East was a huge proponent of backing oil with gold? Sadam Hussien. What do you know. You know what else about Iraq, it was entering deals with China as well for an oil pipe...

I don't feel that you are stupid, you seem to be intelligent and at least thinking about this issue. The only problem is you are looking at it in black and white, good and bad, good vs evil. It's not that simple, there is WAY more going on here than you know, hell there is WAY more going on than what I even know.
