Verizon Wireless may finally get a piece of that iPhone pie. Amongst the release hype for the iPad, it was found that Verizon is padding its network in anticipation for the iPhone. The Wall Street Journal has reported that Verizon is beginning talks with Apple in obtaining the iPhone. This isn't really a surprise, considering that the iPhone is overdue for an update and Apple's contract with AT&T; is up.
But would you buy an iPhone 4G on the Verizon network?

AT&T; service in my area is AWFUL. I'd like an iPhone but simply can't justify buying something that expensive when I know the service will be deplorable. For some reason, T-Mobile is the only service I've had that really works in my own house. For me, that's important. If Verizon can work out for me - hey, great.

LOL as a long time verizon user I have owned the LG8100 and currently have the Touch so far I have not seen anything an I-phone can do that my phones does not do + my phone works as a PHONE every where I travel ...because making phone calls will always be the main reason for owning a phone I will always stick with Verizon ...FACT: no other net work even comes close to the coverage of verizon

I have Verizon and I used to want an iPhone soooooo bad, but I got a Droid and it is better than an iPhone. My friend that has an iPhone played with my Droid and now he wants one.

You got that right. I was actually on SH today on my Droid. Hey, I'll have to check those apps out. Thanks! ....One I tried to load the other day was ScreenMode Widget. It makes it so you don't have to swipe your finger accross to see you main page, but for some reason I couldn't find the Icon, even though I loaded it.

i just got he iphone today and im happy. I have had an itouch and it was the best thing in the world. Now im only paying $10 more for my iphone, not getting ripped off anymore.

I've had so many problems with verizon in the past, and I'm currently own an Iphone (LOVE IT), so I'll probably just stick with AT&T.;
It might just be my area in particular, but not many people like verizon's service here.....

I used to kind of want one, but Apple is far too controlling for my taste. They can delete anything at any time without your consent and you can only get "approved" apps. Some of the best applications are open source. Screw Apple. I prefer standards to flash.

I can't wait.. I hope they do get it.. I love my iphone but I hate AT&T..; As long as the services like being about to talk, text, surf the web and email all at the same time, then I'm sold.. Will switch in a heartbeat...

No I already have an iPhone 3G and it's not as amazing as everyone says, in my opinion. I'm just not the kind of person who goes out and buys the newest version of something the second it comes out.

I'm also rather technology-challenged. I have my phone, my iPod and my laptop, don't ask me to use anything more advanced than that.
