They do seem to go with hate first. Not the I have not seen it from the right too but the left seems to do it far far more. Hate and Race is all they see at time.

I don't have a "party." There is very little difference between the agendas of the Dems and the Reps. Two sides of the same coin and with the exact same goals in mind. That is why nothing changes regardless of who is sitting in the Oval Office. I judge things not on what "party" someone claims to be, but what they say. Hence my question why in the world would you use the term "Japs" and are you really so clueless not to understand that it is insulting?

It's all a game to get people to believe that their vote actually matters and that they actually have a choice.

This is why I try to tell people to not take one item one disagrees on since we should look for what do do agree on. We can all agree all the time. It is that way with my best friend that I talk politics with more than any one else. I have know him since I was 14 and we are 50 now. But while we agree on much we have had some heated debate over the years. He has been right on some and I on other. Sometimes we were both wrong.

There is always common ground if we just have the patience to find it. I'm glad we found ours.

To you and may be others, my use of Caps. is taken as shouting? In fact is my poor eye sight that makes it easy for me to see my mistakes. Like I said before. " Not a racist bone in this body." Again, I apologize if I read your statement wrong. The problem for me is not that I'm trying to be PC. It's just that for many years I didn't speak up when I felt someone was saying something that was patently bad. At my age now, I'm not shy and not afraid to call a spade a spade. Sometimes I get it wrong, sometimes not. But, I will call anyone out if I feel they're demeaning a people, (racism) or if I feel they're bullying someone unfairly. My silence in the past hasn't been an agent of change for anyone, including myself.
