‘Now That’s Justice For Trayvon,’ White Man In Critical Care After Black Mob Beating

An attacker who brutally beat a man on his front porch was heard to say “Now that’s justice for Trayvon” as he was walking away from the victim.

Matthew Owens, a white man from Mobile, Ala., is in critical condition after being severely beaten by a violent mob that included the Trayvon Martin supporter.

According to police, Owens was upset with a group of kids because they were playing basketball in the middle of the street. Owens confronted the kids, and they left. But then a larger group came back to the scene.

Ashley Parker, Owens’ sister, said they attacked her brother with “brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on.”

Parker says there were about 20 attackers, all of whom were black.

Police have no suspects in the crime, and according to News 5 in Mobile, police are downplaying the comment about Martin.

i dont understand people. because someone is upset about a group of children playing in the middle of the street doesnt mean that person is beins racist. i really dont understand people. maybe he was more worried then upset. maybe he would rather see them kids no get hit by a car who decides to speed down the street. i feel bad for this poor guy and i hope he gets better and i totaly hope they find the bastereds who beat him. im not a racists at all so i hope no one thinks so

What makes this post any different? People forget that news outlets are businesses. Unfortunately controversy sells. I don't see tension between Hispanics and blacks or whites and blacks any more so than what already existed. Hate mongering is just as worse you can't justify an action because of what a corporation who's out to make a few bucks sees fit. By the way feel free to scroll through the comments and get back to me if you think no one claimed otherwise.

I find it unconscionable that obama just goes and plays golf after making inflammatory comments.. that do nothing to defuse .. .but actually do just the opposite.. . As a quote leader.. he is doing much more harm than good. And while people make money selling their slime.. and it is all of the media. Much could be done to keep groups like the black panthers from calling for death to all whites It is home grown terror in our times

I refuse to live in fear. The black panthers shouldn't scare you any more than the KKK scares me. Especially when the KKK have actually carried out their threats. Before Obama was elected the KKK vowed to kill any and every black person if Obama got into office, yet you don't see me crying about that.

That's not reverse racism it's just plain old racism. Isn't it funny that we have another term for racism done by blacks? "Reverse racism" implies that someone was racist toward them first and then they were racist back, that's simply not the case anymore.

If you are white and live in an area with a large black population, you are foolish if you don't carry a gun. This is the sixth "reported" beating which has been identified as a result of the martin killing. The blacks are keeping this hatred of white close to the heart and using martin as a justified excuse to commit violence. They are ignoring newer evidence which points to the fact that martin was the aggressor and zimmerman was defending himself.

Tell that to the 6 men who have been beaten. One was a 57 year old man sitting in traffic in his car. He said nothing to no one and he was pulled from his car and beaten with a hammer by 3 youth. As they were walking away laughing a witness heard them say, "that's for trayvon.

I did not say all blacks. Like you said, it only takes a few and there are a few who are targeting whites. There are 6 cases of whites being severely beaten by blacks just because they are white. No, don't stop driving but, please be careful so that you are not in an accident. I legally carry a gun and I will use it to defend myself against anyone regardless of race as a last resort. You be careful while driving and I will be careful anytime I think I am in a situation that could be violent. If we both exercise caution when driving and avoid violent situations we will be safer. If we both wear seatbelts and have a means to defend ourselves against attackers we will be even more safe.

Believe me I understand what you're trying to say. I'm just saying that if we look at whole groups of people as "the enemy" regardless of race then we undo 50+ years or progress. We should exercise caution in every situation because there are in fact crazy people out there. What we shouldn't do is live in constant fear. Wearing a seatbelt is very different than hiring a personal driver. Although I must say I'm looking at getting a concealed weapons license. My house has been broken into since I live with three other girls. Anyone who tries it again will get their ass handed to them. :)

I would strongly urge you to get a gun and a permit. I always avoid trouble but, a little over a year ago I was forced to shoot and kill an armed intruder in my own home. Nowhere is safe. I am not trying to say everyone should be scared but, we should all be careful (driving) and be prepared for that unforeseen problem (seatbelt). I do not judge people by race or religion or sexuality. If I know the is a group of people who are doing that then I say, use extra caution. I want us all to pull together as Americans. We have many challenges right now and it will take all of us to make things better.

I have a CHL and I won't hesitate to shoot anyone who comes on my property to steal or commit a crime against me. Even though I know that if the perpetrator happens to be Black some activist will swear that he came to my house at 2am to sell me flowers. Sad thing is that other Blacks will support that statement and not accountability for his actions. Thing is ........I'll still shoot his ass ! In Texas you don't even have to say "stop".
