CLEVELAND (CBS Cleveland) – A Cleveland father was arrested after being accused of shoving a baby wipe down an infant’s throat.

According to a police report obtained by CBS Cleveland, Joshua Rains, 25, rushed his baby to the hospital on Nov.9 after the wipe went down the baby’s throat. The baby is currently on life support.

Rains told police that he had wiped the baby’s mouth with it and then it disappeared. Police say Rains told them that when he tried to retrieve the wipe, it just got shoved further down the baby’s throat.

Police told the station that the baby’s injuries were not consistent with the father’s statement and that Rains was charged with felony child endangerment.

This was not the first incident involving the baby. The police report states that the baby suffered a detached eye lens when only 5-days-old.

they certainly spread their genetic content ...

But sure are NOT .. in any way, shape, form .. PARENTS at all ..

(JUST sickening .. how TWISTED and CRUEL they can be .. and it is especially horrifying that this child was STILL around the father .. even after at FIVE DAYS OLD .. the poor baby had his eye lens detached while around him too .. HORRIFIC!)

Well lets shove some baby wipes down his throat and just when he's about to asphyxiate and covered in vomit and tears we pull em out and start all over again....then after doing that for about 5 days off and on he'll go to court, sentenced, and go to jail. Then while in jail some of the prisoners can shove their own special items down his throat, I call that justice

Isn't it awful! A born little infant can't move or do anything to defend itself... if the baby was crying then something was wrong.... why can't adults understand that when a baby cries it needs something........ some people just shouldn't have kids!!

Here's hoping that somehow, the baby survives this and has a full recovery, then goes to live with a family that will love and care for the little one....
