Impeachment is an inherently political process. The Republicans have succeded in brainwashing their supporters into a complete inablity to discern right from wrong, so they cannot accept the idea that anyone bearing their banner can do wrong. Repairing the political schism will take time.

How surreal is this shit? If a movie was ever made about a President with all the high school level wheeling and dealings of this administration, it would have to star someone in the mold of Peter Sellers. It would be labeled as a comedy of errors that no one could possibly take seriously. As if.

The two most hyannis acts committed by the Bush Administration, to me, are Iraq and the outing of Valerie Plame Wilson. Iraq was a gift from George Bush to his war profiteering buddies and a reason to give more time to Osama bin Laden to find a hiding place that Saddam Hussein could only dream about.

The Bush Administration went after John Walker Lindh with everything they could muster to prosecute him. In reality, what Lindh did is peanuts when compared to what Bush/Cheney/Rove/Libby did to Plame. What they did is treasonous. They endangered her life along with the other CIA covert agents who worked under her. They made the investigation as to the source of the leak a mockery, and Plame's suit against Cheney was tossed out of court twice.

Because 'ol Dick "the pussy" Cheney wouldnt disclose those documents claiming executive privilege, and also defied the subpoena he was served and not prosecuted for defying a Supreme Court order.
