If someone doens't stand up for the little man, then the bigger man would have us stabing each other in the back. Eveyrone needs to be part of something, Rich people got each other, little people are so caught up on trying to get into the Rich crew, that they'll lose site of family and friends trying to get there. The union keeps us focused i believe. Oh and at the same time put a little money in their pockets. =ox

There is too much competition out there price wise. Unions tend to do more harm than they do good. If you can't keep competitive prices businesses close. Fact of life

Labor unions need to be abolished and here is why!
GM Labor union workers are paid based on longevity and not their quality of work!
Teachers union workers are paid based on longevity and not quality of work.

Here are more examples of failed systems who all have one thing in common, UNIONS!

American Teachers - Clearly Failed
American Cars - Been failing for 20yrs
Steel Workers - Defunct for 20yrs
Aerospace Workers - Failing in the past 5yrs

Correlations suck dont they...just like labor unions.
Imagine if the U.S. Army were unionized? They would fail too.

What I'm going to say is sarcastic. No we don't need unions,and minimum wage is fair.It's easy to raise a family on 7 dollars a hour,why are so many over paid?
They infact get assistance from other working taxpayers.So we" taxpayers "support many underpaid workers ,for a few people to get rich.This makes me pissed!!!!!!!!!!

Yes i would include them. But i have also read my first comment and noticed i said "bigger man would have us stabing each other in the back" which is wrong on my part. They wouldn't have us, we would be doing such things because we want what they have and think we will get it doing such things. WE, and i mean American's because i know of no other, are never happy with what we have we "The Jones" have somehting nicer. We, most of us, will inflect harm to a stranger in order to gain. and THATS WRONG! But back to your question, it is a simple "YES, they too are included"

at one time the unions were very neccessary,back before all the laws went into effect protecting workers rights.now they are very destructive for american business,thier ridiculous demands on security and wages forces companies to leave this country,and go where they can afford to make thier products.the really ironic part is if it werent for the unions we would have never gotten the workers rights laws!

i really dont think so.if you ever want to get an american fired up just try to take one of his freedoms or privelages away from him.it would be political suicide for a lawmaker to try to recind a labor law! i give it up to the unions they helped in thier day,its just thier day is over.but i might be biased ive belonged to two unions and they didnt do anything for me

Well without a company to hire anyone seems like with the unions forcing businesses over seas we are taking steps back now. I only buy products from companies that do not use union labor. Youd be surprised the quality of the product and how much you save.

Case in point ---if you look at the sectors where the US is least competitive, these sectors are dominated by labor unions --- auto, airlines, healthcare, education, manufacturing, etc. That's enough anecdotal and empirical data for me.

I don't feel you have made a good point.All these things require a population that is well paid. Our auto industries were mismanaged and the biggest issue is with the american people.Keep buying forien cars and products,and your putting more nails in americas coffin.

No matter how you defend the labor unions a turd is still a turd. I supply large groups of people with names and locations of companies who little to no union labor. Thus far their quality is superior and cheaper. They dont have people being paid just because they were there longer.
