In light of SCOTUS Ruling on Arizona, I say that Arizona should define who can legally enter Arizona and then resubmit based on Arizona whether they are in Arizona legally or not.

The problem is Obies pals won't prosecute the illegals. He made it legal to be illegal even though that's illegal.

No wonder we want him gone.

Hey, thats pretty close. When Governor Reagan opend the California borders to them, he called them "undocumented workers". He wasn't expecting them to vote for him, just to flood the fields and prevent the United Farm Wrokers from forming a union of the "documented workers".

Yes it worked quite well and Reagan became known as a "union buster", able even to disguise his motives. He became a President with that as a major reason corporations and Wall Street gave him the nomination and funded his elections.

Personally, I would much prefer we dump every friggin' lawyer and career politicians from the federal system and vote in ONLY those who can pass an intensive test on the constitution and it meanings. Then we hold every one of them AND the President to the letter of their oaths of office.

And who will prosecute the "illegals"? Let me remind you of all the Republican Presidents who have refused to even touch the issue of immigration reform: Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush Sr., and Bush Jr. Want me to list the Governors also. That would take quite a while as they are numerous. Having the pool of labor, legal or illegal, makes great profits for Wall Street and corporations. Illegals make even more profit for they never ask for benefits, overtime pay, and rarely file for unemployment or workman's compensation. You are really ignoring reality to think that a change in the office of the POTUS will affect in any way the open borders or the numbers of persons crossing them.

And Obie promised too. As usual he lies about everything. Like today. He said the Obiecare mandate was NOT a TAX to George S. in an ABC interview 5 times.

    Once again he lied.

I have his list of lies. It's really, really long.

Well, keep that list at hand. Attach it to one from the former President, and the one before him, etc., etc. I've never know of any President that was not accused of lying by those who were of another political persuasion. George Washington was called a liar and wanted to challenge the speaker to a duel but was talked out of it. George Bush was called a liar when he had to admit there were no WMDs in Iraq, so he just shrugged his shoulders and grinned like a Cheshire Cat. They all have to listen to such.

This is great, and an added benefit might be, once word gets around, that many will deport themselves rather than take the risk of being caught.

it is NOT about being legal or illegal in Arizona, it is about being legal or illegal in America. This is not a state fight, it is a nation's fight. Illegal is illegal....there is no black and white about this.

I agree this is a national fight, but if the nation refuses to fight it states should be allowed to. For hypothetical reasoning say that somehow it became law that it was a cops duty to prevent intruders in your home. Now if the cops refused to prevent the intruders wouldn't you think you had the right to prevent it yourself.

I agree. Each state needs to enforce illegal immigration. Biggest problem I see now is even if illegals are apprehended, they are turned over to ICE and since they are federal, chances are, they will be let go. Obama and Holder are going to do all they can to not let states do their job. And if they do, they will threaten to cut federal funding...they have them.

I see federal funding initiatives as unconstitutional as it unwarrantedly influences and denies the state sovereignty as given by the 10th Amendment.

10-4 on that. But that is what keeps ALL the states in line. Many years ago, Alaska allowed possession of two ounces of pot as personal stash. The federal government forced the state to change the law or lose federal funding. The law was reminded. Unless a state can be financially self-sufficient, they are at the mercy of the feds, sucks. Same thing the current admin is trying to do to the people, get them hooked on federal assistance.

I just wrote my Representative and told him that impeachment proceedures should be started at once. Obama is refusing to uphold his oath of office. He took an oath to uphold our laws and is now refusing to do so. If I lived in Arizona I would refuse to pay federal tax until such time that the federal government started enforcing our immigration laws.

In light of the federal governments control on immigration process and punishments federally. I think Arizona can find a loophole by defining only those who are legal residents of the US are allowed to enter Arizona legally and then define laws based on whether they are in Arizona legally or not. Because they constitution only states federal laws based on US legal residency not on States legal residencies.
